Muhammadiyah and MUI Appreciate President Jokowi’s Decade of Hard Work in Building Indonesia
Jakarta – Secretary General of the Muhammadiyah Central Leadership, Prof. Abdul Mu’ti expressed his gratitude for the hard work of President Jokowi and his staff for 10 years in building Indonesia.
“We express our appreciation for the performance he has done during his 10 years leading Indonesia, which is proven by Indonesia’s significant progress in various sectors evenly,” said Abdul Mu’ti.
Abdul Mu’ti emphasized significant achievements during Jokowi’s administration, including infrastructure development that supports economic growth and reducing unemployment rates.
According to him, there are four outstanding achievements, first infrastructure development, second economic resilience and unemployment reduction, third enforcement of open democracy, and fourth Indonesia’s active role in the international arena.
“This achievement will be continued by the new government to ensure continued progress,” said Abdul Mu’ti.
Likewise, Deputy Chairman of the MUI, KH. Marsudi Syuhud, appreciated the maintenance of national stability and rapid development in the era of President Jokowi.
“We are grateful that Indonesia is currently in a safe and comfortable condition. President Jokowi’s achievements in infrastructure development and maintaining harmony between elements of the nation will be continued by the new government,” he said.
He also invited all parties to support the programs that will be implemented by the elected President and Vice President.
Meanwhile, the General Chairperson of the Muhammadiyah Central Leadership, Haedar Nashir also gave appreciation to President Jokowi for his dedication to the nation and state. Including, the massive infrastructure development that has been accelerated.
“We appreciate the infrastructure programs and various programs developed so far by the government, including the IKN Nusantara,” he said when meeting President Jokowi at the Presidential Palace Complex, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (17/9).
In the context of the IKN, Haedar said that Muhammadiyah will take a role in building the IKN, namely by establishing offices and educational and health facilities.
“The goal is to improve the nation’s life and advance public welfare,” he stressed.
Furthermore, Haedar also expressed his gratitude to President Jokowi and his staff who have provided support to Muhammadiyah so far. Among them are related to education, health, social, economic, and various other programs.
“We are visiting to convey the appreciation, respect, and gratitude of PP Muhammadiyah to President Jokowi who, together with the cabinet and government officials in these two terms, has worked together and supported each other for Muhammadiyah programs,” he concluded.
