The success of various international events in the Jokowi era has strengthened Indonesia on the global stage
Jakarta – Under the leadership of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), Indonesia has demonstrated extraordinary achievements in organizing various international events. From the G20 Summit, World Water Forum, to international sporting events such as the Asian Games, Indonesia has succeeded in attracting world attention and creating a positive impact on the economy and tourism.
Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf), Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, said that in the era of President Jokowi’s leadership, various international standard events had been successfully held in Indonesia. This shows that Indonesia currently has an important role on the global stage.
“Successful international events held in Indonesia show our ability to collaborate and adapt at the global level,” said Sandiaga.
Then Sandiaga also said that the creative industry in Indonesia is currently a reference for other countries because it has succeeded in creating almost 25 million jobs from various sectors.
“Indonesia has now become a reference because we have succeeded in creating almost 25 million jobs and a total of IDR 1,400 trillion in added value and exports of around 27 billion US dollars,” continued Sandiaga.
Sandiaga hopes that these achievements will be maintained and improved to achieve the Golden Indonesia target with a creative economy contribution of 11 percent to the national economy, as well as increasing the potential for international collaboration across sectors for the development of creative industries.
“Not only the business, government and academic sectors, but we also talk about communities, we also talk about intellectual property rights owned by the community,” said Sandiaga.
Meanwhile, the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Menko Marves), Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, said that the success of various international events in Indonesia cannot be separated from the success of President Jokowi’s leadership.
“I think this is President Jokowi’s leadership achievement for 10 years. “I think this is a reward for the president’s hard work, while he was president,” said Luhut.
Luhut also hopes that the next government can continue President Jokowi’s various achievements during his leadership, and make Indonesia even more advanced.
“I hope that the next leadership can continue President Jokowi’s achievements during his leadership. “I think this is a tradition, in the future with this great nation we can create quite a good tradition,” he said.
With the achievements that have been achieved, Indonesia is increasingly moving towards a brighter future. Apart from that, the public must continue to support the government’s efforts to strengthen Indonesia’s position in the international arena.
