Aceh – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will immediately inaugurate the AMANAH (Aneuk Muda Aceh Unggul Hebat) Building in the Aceh Industrial Area, Ladong, Aceh Besar Regency on October 15, 2024. The inauguration event will be an important and historic moment for the people of Aceh. The facilities and infrastructure built greatly support the economic revival in Aceh.
AMANAH Building is not only a symbol of economic revival, but also displays the world’s impressive cultural wealth that is not found in other regions.
In the future, the optimization of the function of the AMANAH Building is expected to become a center for arts and culture that strengthens Aceh’s identity and opens up opportunities for local communities to develop MSMEs that are currently being developed by the Acehnese people.
Not only that, the development of Acehnese dance is also a concern at Amanah.
One of the audition participants from Sanggar Ceudah Rupa, Safna Khairat, revealed that the Ranup Lampuan dance is usually performed at weddings and other official events attended by officials or community leaders.
“So, the Ranup Lampuan dance is usually performed to welcome guests,” he said.
According to Safna, the dance is also suitable to be performed for the inauguration of the AMANAH Building later.
Ranup Lampuan Dance is a dance offering to welcome the arrival of guests (Pemuliah Jamee). Ranub Lampuan Dance was created by the late Bang Yus (Yusrizal) in 1959.
The Ranup Lampuan Dance has undergone several changes to become what it is today. This dance was originally performed by several female dancers accompanied by orchestral or band music. In 1959 the Ranup Lampuan Dance was modified by adding 3 male dancers, consisting of 2 guards using swords and one holding a vandel, he explained.
“So, in the Ranup Lampuan dance, there is something called picking betel, making betel and serving betel. At the end, it will serve betel to the guests. Usually, it is performed at weddings, at special guest welcoming events,” he said.
Hopefully, with the many appearances in front of the president later, arts activities in Aceh can continue to be supported and developed, he added.
Apart from that, it can also show that Aceh has a lot of potential among its young people, Safna hopes.
Previously, AMANAH has opened online registration to take part in the dancer auditions.
Meanwhile, the requirements for dancer audition participants include being 16-30 years old and open to both men and women.
The dancers were selected by experts in their fields such as Denny Malik, Mira Natalia, Melissa Franklien Regina, Agustinus Dwi Kriswanto, Asep Nugraha and Furqon Azamsyah. In addition, they also worked together to design the concept of their performance later.
More than 500 dancers, aged 16-30, will participate in the event. They will perform a colossal dance at the opening of AMANAH Building.
Meanwhile, according to Zunaidillah Zakaria, one of the dance trainers, preparations have been carried out optimally. All parties are ready to give their best during the inauguration of the Amanah Building later. This has become the determination of Aceh’s youth to make the inauguration of Amanah a success by showcasing Acehnese culture and art.
