Smooth Government Transition, Farmers Group Ready to Support Prabowo-Gibran Pair in Executing Food Self-Sufficiency Program
Jakarta – A smooth government transition is an important factor in accelerating the execution of strategic programs that will be carried out by the Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka administration. After being inaugurated on October 20, 2024, the new government is expected to immediately complete various priority policies to strengthen the economy and improve people’s welfare. Tani Merdeka Indonesia expressed its support for the agricultural and food self-sufficiency programs that will be implemented by President-elect Prabowo Subianto.
Don Muzakir, a representative of Tani Merdeka Indonesia, emphasized that his organization is ready to oversee Prabowo’s grand vision in the agricultural sector. “Tani Merdeka Indonesia agrees to oversee the program of the elected president Prabowo Subianto in agriculture and food. We are committed to supporting all strategic steps taken for the welfare of farmers and national food sovereignty,” said Don Muzakir in his statement.
For this reason, economic stability and the success of the transition process are important keys in executing Prabowo – Gibran’s strategic program.
Athor Subroto, Director of the School of Global Strategic Studies and Economic Observer from the University of Indonesia, appreciates the economic foundation built during the era of President Joko Widodo. “The economic foundation during Jokowi’s term is very solid, especially in industrial downstreaming. This must be continued by the Prabowo-Gibran government so that its positive impact on the domestic economy continues to be felt,” he said.
CEO of the Archy Research and Strategy Institute, Mukhradis Hadi Kusuma, is also optimistic. According to him, the Prabowo-Gibran government will quickly implement the strategic programs that have been planned. “The Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka government has a clear plan. They are ready to accelerate the implementation of priority programs,” explained Mukhradis.
One of the flagship programs prepared is increasing agricultural land productivity through village, regional, and national food barns. This program is designed to achieve food self-sufficiency with a target of an additional four million hectares of harvest area by 2029. In addition, Prabowo-Gibran are also committed to building integrated superior schools in each district to improve the quality of education.
In addition to having a mature plan, President Jokowi’s full support also smoothed this transition. “President Jokowi provides full support to the next government through the formulation of policies that support the sustainability of the program,” added Mukhradis.
With all these elements, a smooth transition is expected to accelerate the implementation of the Prabowo-Gibran government’s strategic programs, pushing Indonesia towards the grand vision of Golden Indonesia 2045.
