Mercy emphasized the importance of strengthening regulations and clear law enforcement against online gambling perpetrators, including blocking sites and applications that are the entry points for these illegal activities.

“Children and families need to have a good understanding of how to protect themselves from accessing harmful content, including online gambling,” he added.

Meanwhile, the Supervisor of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) of West Java Province, Agus Yayan Cahyan, said that his party had blocked more than 7,000 accounts suspected of being related to online gambling transactions.
