Jakarta – As Ramadan 2025 approaches, PT Rajawali Nusindo, a subsidiary of ID FOOD, is ensuring the smooth distribution of foodstuffs to maintain price stability. This distribution is carried out through 41 branches across 34 provinces in Indonesia.

The Corporate Secretary of PT Rajawali Nusindo, Sofyan Effendi, stated that the volume of food distribution has been increased to anticipate the surge in demand during the Ramadan month.

“We ensure that the distribution of food commodities is increased and runs smoothly to meet the public’s needs during Ramadan 2025,” he said.

As of January 2025, PT Rajawali Nusindo has distributed 1,200 tons of consumption sugar. Last year, the company distributed more than 7,200 tons of sugar to various regions. In addition, 22,393 tons of cooking oil have been distributed by the beginning of this year.

“The distribution of cooking oil will continue to increase ahead of Idulfitri to ensure a stable supply,” added Sofyan.

Furthermore, PT Rajawali Nusindo will organize affordable food bazaars in areas that are likely to experience supply shortages.

The government also ensures the availability of food remains secure. The Director of Distribution and Food Reserves at the National Food Agency (Bapanas), Rachmi Widiriani, confirmed that food stocks in the form of Government Food Reserves (CPP) and supplies at retail traders have been prepared.

“We have taken various precautionary measures to ensure smooth distribution,” she said.

Bapanas continues to monitor prices through a daily price panel and is ready to conduct market operations if needed.

“We have distribution facilitation instruments to balance prices between producing and consuming regions,” she added.

Regarding the fluctuating prices of chili due to weather conditions and pests, the government has prepared cold storage as a precautionary measure.

To ensure the smooth distribution of food, Bapanas is collaborating with the Food Task Force and various relevant ministries. Market operations will be held to maintain the price stability of essential commodities such as rice, sugar, cooking oil, and meat.

The Minister of Agriculture, also Acting Food Coordination Minister, Amran Sulaiman, emphasized that maintaining food price stability is a top priority for the government.

“According to President Prabowo’s direction, we hope the prices of essential commodities remain stable, even lower than last year,” he said.

Amran further explained that the government has prepared a market operation mechanism, including the volume of commodities to be distributed and the highest retail price (HET).

“Rice is safe, meat and onions are also, God willing, safe. The stock is ready, and coordination results show that the amounts are sufficient,” he concluded.
