Papua – Papuan Community Leader, Esau Tegai, emphasized the importance of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program initiated by the National Nutrition Agency as the key to the success of developing superior human resources in Papua. This program is focused on meeting the nutritional needs of children and pregnant women so that Papua can produce a quality generation and be ready to compete in the global era towards Indonesia Emas 2045.

Esau Tegai said that the Free Nutritious Meal program is a real and strategic solution to overcome the challenges of malnutrition in Papua. “As a community leader, I really appreciate the government through BGN launching this program. This is a concrete step to ensure that every child and mother in Papua gets sufficient nutritional intake,” he said.

The problem of malnutrition in Papua has been a major obstacle to the development of human resource potential. Esau emphasized that with the fulfillment of basic nutrition, Papuan children can grow up healthy, intelligent, and competitive.

“We must build a strong foundation from an early age so that Papua can contribute greatly to the progress of the Indonesian nation,” said Esau.

Esau also highlighted the importance of cross-sector collaboration for the success of this program. “It is not enough for the government to play a role, but all elements of society and the private sector must work together,” he explained.

He hopes that all MBG program targets can be achieved and provide a long-term positive impact on national development. Furthermore, he is optimistic that the MBG program can be the foundation for realizing the vision of Golden Indonesia in 2045.

“Papua as part of Indonesia must act as an example in developing quality human resources through programs like this,” Esau added.

As a community leader, Esau also invited the Papuan community to actively monitor and make the implementation of this program a success. “Community support is very important so that this program runs smoothly and is maximally beneficial,” he said.

As a community figure in Jayapura Regency, Esau Tegai also emphasized that the Free Nutritious Meals program must be part of a comprehensive community empowerment effort.

“We must ensure that this program is not just temporary assistance, but also becomes a strong foundation for human resource development through active community participation,” Esau explained.

Esau hopes that all elements of society will participate in overseeing and supporting the implementation of the program for the sake of sustainable long-term benefits. With joint support, Papua can produce a healthy, intelligent next generation that has the potential to become a pillar of the nation’s progress towards Indonesia Emas 2045.
