Jakarta – President Prabowo Subianto’s administration continues to demonstrate its strong commitment to achieving the national economic growth target of 8%. One of the strategic initiatives currently being advanced is the launch and optimization of the Danantara platform, envisioned as a catalyst for digital economic transformation through the productive utilization of state assets.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Danantara, Rosan Roeslani, expressed strong optimism about the platform’s future. He stated that Danantara’s potential revenue in the coming years could reach IDR 13 trillion, in line with the management and digitalization of investment flows into Indonesia over the past decade, which have reached a total of IDR 9,100 trillion.
“We aim for Danantara’s contribution to help Indonesia achieve 8% economic growth by 2029. The key is to ensure that all investments are monitored, supervised, and directed toward productive sectors,” said Rosan.
Rosan further explained that Danantara has the potential to allocate up to 20% of its investments overseas. When combined with a 15% allocation for domestic investment, the total potential investment capacity of Danantara could reach 35%.
According to him, this estimation translates to around US$185 billion that can be optimized for investment activities every five years. This positions Danantara as a primary catalyst in strengthening Indonesia’s economic standing on the global stage.
“Again, to create more jobs. Investment is crucial and serves as one of the key drivers of the economy, job creation, and beyond—because at its core, it is all about investment,” he explained.
In a separate statement, State-Owned Enterprises Minister Erick Thohir emphasized that Danantara’s business model represents a significant leap forward in fostering transparency, efficiency, and public participation in the management of state assets.
“We will collaborate with all stakeholders to ensure that Danantara operates with transparency, accountability, and professionalism,” said Erick.
Erick Thohir added that this initiative is fully aligned with President Prabowo’s overarching vision, which places high-quality economic growth as a top priority. Danantara is expected to drive significant progress in job creation, income distribution, and improved public welfare.
He also noted that the optimization of Danantara underlines the government’s new policy direction in building a robust, transparent, and highly competitive national digital economy system—one that is adaptive to geopolitical dynamics and global uncertainties.
