Jakarta – Candidate for Chairman of the Alumni Association of Universitas Indonesia (ILUNI UI) for the 2025–2028 period, Dr. Dewi Puspitorini, Sp.P, MARS, reaffirmed her commitment to building an inclusive, modern alumni organization that delivers tangible impact for the nation. She conveyed this statement during the “Alumni UI We Care!” event at the IASTH Building, Central Jakarta, on Friday (August 15, 2025).
The event was not merely a reunion, but also presented programs that directly addressed community needs. The series of activities included a job fair, entrepreneurship talk show, alumni MSME bazaar, and free health services.
“Togetherness is not just about being together—it is the strength to move forward collectively. UI alumni must demonstrate real contributions, not only on campus but also within society,” said Dewi Puspitorini.
She explained that the concept of togetherness through the tagline “U & I Guyub, U and I become Us” will be realized through concrete steps, one of which is digital transformation via the UI Connect platform.
“Technology must be used to bring people closer, not create distance. Through UI Connect, alumni from around the world can remain connected in one inclusive and dynamic ecosystem,” she explained.
In addition to digital innovation, Dewi emphasized the importance of professional and transparent organizational governance. “ILUNI UI must become a role model of a clean, open, and impactful organization for the nation. Legitimacy is born from consistent accountability,” stressed Dewi Puspitorini.
She also highlighted alumni welfare by planning measurable support programs, ranging from health services and psychological support to financial assistance. “The welfare of alumni, both physical and mental, is an investment to strengthen ILUNI UI’s role in the future,” she concluded.
Support for Dewi came from several alumni, including Chairman of ILUNI Faculty of Medicine UI, Dr. Wawan Mulyawan. “Dewi has a clear vision and proven capacity. She is able to combine professional competence with a collaborative spirit to unite the diversity of alumni,” said Wawan.
The ILUNI UI Chairman election is scheduled to take place on August 23–24, 2025, through an e-voting system. This mechanism is expected to expand participation while strengthening the legitimacy of the results.
Through the momentum of “Alumni UI We Care!”, Dewi Puspitorini reaffirmed a new direction for ILUNI UI with her inclusive vision, digitalization strategy, and focus on member welfare—aiming to create an adaptive organization that makes real contributions to the nation.
