“Alumni UI We Care” Becomes Dewi Puspitorini’s Vision for an Inclusive and Modern ILUNI UI
Jakarta – The 2025 election of the University of Indonesia Alumni Association (ILUNI UI) marks an important moment in shaping the future direction of the alumni organization. One candidate receiving broad support is Dr. Dewi Puspitorini, MARS, who brings a vision of inclusive, collaborative, and modern leadership.
Carrying the tagline “U&I Guyub, U and I become Us”, Dr. Dewi emphasized that ILUNI UI must be a harmonious, progressive, and inclusive forum with real contributions for alumni, the alma mater, and the nation—aligned with the goals of Indonesia Emas 2045.
In her presentation, Dr. Dewi outlined a strategic vision titled “Alumni UI We Care”, to be realized through five main missions. First, full digitalization of ILUNI UI’s systems to provide transparent, fast, and accountable services. Second, strengthening the global alumni network as a form of Indonesian alumni diplomacy on the international stage.
Third, sustainable empowerment for alumni, particularly concerning welfare and health. Fourth, meaningful contributions toward a healthier Indonesia through community-based health programs. Fifth, women’s empowerment, beginning within the UI alumni community, to strengthen the strategic role of women in society.
“UI shaped my personality and character, and now it is time for me to give back. I believe the strength of UI alumni lies in collaboration across faculties, generations, and professions,” said Dr. Dewi.
Chairman of the ILUNI Faculty of Medicine UI, Dr. Wawan Mulyawan, described Dr. Dewi as a unifying figure capable of addressing the needs of the alumni organization in today’s modern era.
“She has the vision and relevant experience to meet the needs of the alumni organization today,” said Wawan.
Secretary General of ILUNI UI, Ahmad Fitrianto, also welcomed the idea, stressing the importance of synergy between ILUNI UI, the Association of Indonesian State University Alumni (HIMPUNI), and the government in supporting the nation’s strategic agenda.
“ILUNI UI needs to strengthen collaboration to drive food security, digital innovation, and improvements in public welfare,” he stated.
This democratic election process is not only a healthy competition, but also an opportunity to strengthen solidarity among alumni. Through her vision of “Alumni UI We Care”, Dr. Dewi Puspitorini offers inclusive, modern, and collaborative leadership.
The broad support flowing in affirms that Dr. Dewi’s leadership has strong potential to position ILUNI UI as both a unifying home for alumni and a strategic partner for the nation.
