Young Figures: The President’s Youth Pledge Commemoration Will Realize the Asta Cita Program

Jakarta – The 97th Youth Pledge Day commemoration provided concrete evidence that the Prabowo-Gibran administration has successfully implemented pro-people policies. The government has partnered with young people to realize the Asta Cita (Asta Cita) program. This was revealed in a dialogue on the 97th Anniversary of the Youth Pledge, broadcast on a national private television station on Tuesday, October 28, 2025.

Papuan youth figure Billy Mambrasar said that the participation of young people in the Free Nutritious Meals program provides hope and enthusiasm.

“The involvement of young men and women in running the kitchen is very significant, enabling them to feed students and engage millennial farmers,” he said.

Billy further said that the President’s Program is not just one by one, but rather one unit.

Through their involvement, farmers provide supplies for MBG, which is then managed by local people for the school. This all comes together, with an impact that cannot be measured in the short term, as this human development will take 10-20 years for Indonesia to reap the benefits.

Billy emphasized that the spirit of the Youth Pledge is not merely numerical, but philosophical, meaning everyone has equal opportunity. Regional governments must seize the opportunity presented by President Prabowo to maximize it through educational programs and existing access.

It must be a two-way street: the government provides opportunities, and youth seize them. Don’t be passive; everyone has an equal chance to capitalize on the opportunities available.
“The spirit of the Youth Pledge must be implemented in daily life as a tangible manifestation of love for the homeland, social responsibility, and active participation in national development,” he explained.

Meanwhile, Hariqo Wibawa Satria, a Senior Expert at the Government Communications Agency, stated that free health checks are Indonesia’s largest program. Currently, the number of beneficiaries has reached 45 million people and continues to grow.

“This is the largest program in Indonesia, and the number of beneficiaries has reached 45 million people and will continue to grow every day,” he said.

Next is the MBG program, which now has 37 million beneficiaries, and has created a new workforce, 12,000 SPPG kitchens, millions of parents, and several thousand MSMEs.

“This is the first program in history and has never existed before. The number of beneficiaries continues to grow every day,” he said.

Hariqo further stated that the Prabowo-Gibran government has carried out school improvements, with tens of thousands of school improvements.

“There’s a budget of Rp22 trillion for school revitalization and the creation of 400,000 new jobs. This is the largest school revitalization effort of the reform era,” he said.

The government is eager to protect its citizens from gambling, drugs, and other internet dangers. For children living on the border, there’s an allowance for specialist doctors who receive over 30 million rupiah to serve our children.

There’s also the revitalization and increased capacity of hospitals, making it easier for mothers and children to get to the hospital. All of this is for three reasons: Indonesian children must be healthy, live long, and achieve.

Anti-corruption law enforcement has successfully recovered 1,000 trillion rupiah in state funds, with hundreds of arrests. The government has also seized 4 million hectares, among other achievements, during President Prabowo-Gibran’s first year in office.

What we should appreciate about this Youth Pledge is that within a year, the polarization that once existed has disappeared. Because on October 28th, we pledged to be one Indonesian nation.
Hopefully, this will serve as a stepping stone for a foundation, so that in 2026, we can move even faster.
