Jakarta — Ahead of the commemoration of Heroes Day on November 10, 2025, the government has called on all levels of society to maintain a peaceful and stable environment while rejecting any form of provocation that could threaten national unity.
The Heroes Day commemoration is expected not only to honor the sacrifices of the nation’s heroes but also to strengthen the spirit of nationalism and solidarity among citizens.
Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi emphasized that the true spirit of heroism should be reflected in the people’s wisdom in responding to divisive issues.
“As we approach Heroes Day, let us embody the values of our heroes by maintaining security and public order together. Do not be easily provoked by unverified information,” said Prasetyo.
He also underlined that today’s generation faces different challenges — not physical warfare, but the task of safeguarding unity amid digital disruption and diverse opinions.
“Modern-day heroes are those who preserve peace, spread kindness, and strengthen the spirit of cooperation within their communities,” he added.
Meanwhile, Chief of the Indonesian National Police, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, affirmed that security forces are ready to ensure public safety and stability during the national commemoration.
“We have prepared anticipatory measures to keep the situation safe and peaceful. But most importantly, society must take an active role in rejecting provocation and spreading messages of brotherhood,” he said.
General Listyo further noted that Heroes Day should serve as a moment to reinforce unity and safeguard the integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).
“Let us work together to maintain stability, honor the services of our heroes, and continue their struggle by fostering peace and solidarity in our communities,” he concluded.
The government also encourages citizens to commemorate Heroes Day through positive activities such as community service, ceremonial tributes, and social initiatives. The spirit of the nation’s heroes serves as a reminder that Indonesia stands strong because of unity and a shared commitment to preserve peace
