President Prabowo Subianto has emphasized that the investigation must be conducted comprehensively, reaching the root of the problem. This directive reflects the government’s seriousness in ensuring that there is no room for impunity, particularly when cases involve strategic institutions such as the military. This firm stance sends a clear message that the state is present to uphold justice without discrimination, while also maintaining public trust, which has often been tested in cases involving security personnel.
Concrete steps have been demonstrated by the TNI Military Police Center, which acted swiftly in naming suspects. This response has received widespread appreciation, including from the Indonesian Public Movement Against Corruption (GMPK), which views the move as evidence of increasing transparency within the military. The designation of suspects is not merely seen as part of legal procedure, but also as a significant momentum in improving public perception of military justice, which has previously been considered less transparent.
Commander of the TNI Military Police Center, Major General Yusri Nuryanto, stressed that there is zero tolerance for legal violations committed by military personnel.
