DKI Government with TNI and Polri are ready to secure Second Round Pilkada

Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta, Polda Metro Jaya, and TNI held a coordination meeting on Jakarta Pilkada security preparedness, Thursday (13/4/2017), at Kodam Jaya Headquarters, East Jakarta.

In the meeting, the Governor of DKI Jakarta Sumarsono has deployed Satpol PP, DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Fire Department, to disaster preparedness volunteers to stand by on the election day of the second round of Election of DKI Jakarta on April 19, 2017.

Sumarsono said that the government has specifically submitted or conditioned overall preparedness in support of the KPU and Bawaslu held a safe, peaceful, comfortable, and exhilarating event.

In the same location, Metro Jaya Police Chief Irjen Mochamad Iriawan appealed that no party to any intimidation in any form against the voters. He said that coercion of voters and money politics could be criminalized.

For that, Iriawan said, at the time of voting all polling stations (TPS) will be guarded by each member of the Police and 1 member of the TNI.

Irawan said that overall the total number of safeguards there are 64,726 personnel of the TPS combined is 13,034, there are the approaching forces needed if something disturbs the TPS.

Hopefully, the participation of TNI and Polri in preparation will make the implementation of the Second Round Regional Election run safely, peacefully and without intimidation from any party to the voters. And all that can not be separated from the role of citizens and government of DKI. So that hope in realizing the elections of DKI Second Round peaceful safe, comfortable can be realized.
