Chairman of the MUI, Kiai Ma’ruf Amin said the elements of society do not need to take action 299 or demonstration that dated 29 September which brought the theme reject the constitution (Perppu) on mass organizations and reject the revival of the PKI.
“No need to cause a noisy that can lead to conflict among peoples,” said Kiai Ma’ruf at his residence, Koja, North Jakarta, Wednesday (27/09/2017).
Chairman of the MUI regretted the action will cause a commotion, inhibit traffic and disrupt road users.
According to him, the rejection of the perppu should be done through the existing mechanism, or to the Court. Thus, the thought given can be delivered more accurately and responsibly.
“There is a mechanism for those who can not accept the Perppu, can sue through the Court, so it is not necessary by demonstration with the existing mechanism only. So that conditions, circumstances, the situation of the nation is not disturbed and no noise, “he concluded.
We have committed that the foundation of our country is only Pancasila. Thus, the Chairman of the MUI assessed the government’s move was correct
“We Indonesian nation has agreed the basic commitment of the state is Pancasila. There can be no other basis that can replace Pancasila.
When there are indications, there are other parties who want to replace it should be prevented, when the existing law is not enough the government can make a Perppu that is for precaution, “Kiai Ma’ruf added.
While related PKI, Kiai Ma’ruf believe this will not happen because it has been completed the problem decades ago.
Through the TAP MPR, the entire Indonesian nation declared that the PKI organization was banned in Indonesia. No need to fear his resurrection. The President also gave instructions to the PKI’s rejection.
“The PKI no longer exists, it has been declared a rebel, is forbidden, its party is forbidden, its ideology is forbidden. if the PKI still exists, report it, it does not need a demonstration. Mr. President also said, if the PKI still exist, destroy it, PKI is clearly forbidden,” he said.
