CIDISS. Recently, various types of disasters have stopped in the country. Starting from the earthquake (Sukabumi), floods (Medan and Jogjakarta), banjir bandang (Pacitan and East Lombok), volcano eruption (Mount Agung, Bali), Tornado (Sidoarjo), and several other disasters without season.

Since Indonesia is part of an archipelago classified among three large plates (Eurasia, Indoaustralia, and the Pacific), the country is vulnerable to natural disasters. In addition, Indonesia also entered the ring of fire zone so that the possibility of a disaster could happen. All of these factors certainly familiarize the country with the various possible disasters that exist, in which society needs to be friendly with nature.

Multi hazard disaster has often been a discourse and consideration to be included in all technical planning at the industry and development level.

Regarding health and safety and environment (K3LH), disaster management, fire protection, and disaster management are of particular concern that development actors do not rule out.

Also of special concern because of natural disasters belonging to the disaster. The incidence of a total incidence of percent was lower by 13 percent (Wisner, 2003).

For the work and field level, Indonesia has been very concerned about the aspects of K3LH (Health, Safety, Work and Environment) for its workers. This can be seen from the K3LH management system which has become a key aspect in the industrial realm where OSH signs are installed neatly and routine safety inspections are also conducted. However, the planning and development related to K3LH aspects and consideration of the design according to the disaster behavior were not enough.

In the end, it is society who responds directly to a disaster. In this case, preparedness through education and training becomes an important part of victim prevention.

This was conveyed by Indonesian Vice President, Jusuf Kalla in the World Awareness Tsunami event (2016) that “This awareness is a readiness or prudence, so what we hope is to socialize preparation for preparedness.

Learning from foreign countries, education, training and simulation needs to be the main root for the community in various regions, so that the community is not only quick to respond after it happens, but also alert and able to move pre and post disaster.
