CIDISS. Tauhid flag burning by a number of members of the Multipurpose Ansor Barisan (Banser), the police immediately acted quickly. As a result, two people were secured by the police regarding videos circulating on social media and becoming viral. Garut police station has secured three perpetrators who allegedly carried out the burning of black flags bearing the words of sentence during the National Santri Day celebration, Monday, October 22, 2018 in the Limbangan District Square.
Garut Police Chief AKBP Budi Satria Wiguna said, three perpetrators allegedly burning the tawheed flag had been secured but their status was still a witness. He said, the police would begin investigating cases that shocked and tarnished the National Santri Day celebration. The news was justified by the Head of the Public Information Bureau of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Headquarters Brigadier General Dedi Prasetyo. Dedi explained that the burning of the Tawhid tribe took place in commemoration of National Santri Day in Garut. “The incident happened (Monday, 10/22/2018) at around 09.30 WIB in Lapang Alun-alun District of Limbangan, Garut, West Java,” said Dedi. The perpetrators considered that the flag with the tauhid sentence was the flag of Hizb ut Tahrir Indonesia (HTI).
“There has been a burning of alleged HTI flags carried out by participants of Banser activities or members,” he continued. Based on a number of items of evidence and testimony from witnesses in the field, his party then secured two people who were none other than perpetrators. Both of them were committee heads at the commemoration of Santri Day, Hisnu Mubarok and the program section of Zaenal Mahpudin. After asking for information from a number of witnesses, now, both have been handled by the Garut District Police.
Garut District Police have held talks with the Garut Regency government, Kodim, along with Islamic leaders, the incident is expected not to lead to harassment in the Tawhid sentence. “Hopefully it is only spontaneity, the important thing is we have done communication with all parties,” said Budi.
Meanwhile the Commander of Garut District Military Command 0611, Lt. Col. Inf. Asyraf Aziz conveyed the same thing, if there is a violation of the law, it must be dealt with firmly. All parties are expected to be able to restrain themselves and entrust the legal process to the police.
