The call to prayer is a worship call where every Muslim is obliged to respect the voice of the call to prayer when speaking, ahead of this political contest, Jokowi’s and Prabowo’s attention regarding his treatment of the call to prayer seems worthy of being a matter of public analysis.
There is an interesting story about Joko Widodo when he addressed the 90th Indonesian Women’s Congress National Meeting in Yogyakarta last September 2018. When he was giving a speech, the call to prayer then reverberated, without any code from anyone, Jokowi did not speak and waited for the voice of the call to prayer to resound.

At that time Jokowi did not issue a word when the ashar prayer echoed clearly in the Inna Garuda Hotel Page. After the call to prayer was finished, the presidential candidate for the incumbent finished his speech. The participants seemed to realize that Jokowi could not do anything when on the podium when the call to prayer reverberated.
Jokowi’s attitude when he stopped his speech when the call to prayer drew a positive response from the Minister of Religion Lukman Hakim. He chirped on his Twitter account, where he expressed his astonishment, why there are still those who accuse the president of hating the call to prayer.

A similar attitude was also made by presidential candidate 02, Prabowo Subianto. At that time he was giving a speech at the Indonesian Islamic Da’wah Da’wah (LDII) National Conference on Thursday (11/10). At that time he was addressing the challenges and obstacles of Indonesia in the future.
When this Presidential Candidate No. 2 made a speech, the adhan dzuhur reverberated. “Is this an Adzan?” Said Prabowo.
Then he got off the podium and returned to sit in the front row. After the call to prayer finished he went back up the podium and continued his speech. But this raises a question mark, why was he still confirming to the audience at that time? Why not just go down and stop his speech if he really listens to the call to prayer.
On another occasion, Prabowo again blundered when he was given the opportunity to give a speech at Darul Mu’arrif Islamic Boarding School, Aceh Besar in December 2018. He still continued to make a speech until he had to be reminded twice by the clerics from the hut so he would stop his speech.

Furthermore, Prabowo Subianto made a number of blunders. Where when he was campaigning in Garut, Prabowo briefly stopped his speech after talking about imports. At the time of the Asr prayer, Prabowo said “… Is this a call to prayer? We close for a while, break, with a break I can drink coffee, “he said then he took time to take a photo with a number of mothers.
In the sentence he made, in fact, he did not need to give the words “with a break I could drink coffee.” He should have stopped at the phrase “Is this an Adzan?” At that time it was possible for him to intend to be funny while trying to respect the call to prayer. However, he may not know that the call to prayer is the call of Muslims to worship, not to stop his speech, then he is free to take selfie with mothers.
Is it possible that Prabowo’s escort team was negligent at the time or might be reluctant to tell this? What is clear from these events, clearly shows the level of Prabowo’s basic knowledge of Islam.

Prabowo’s level of knowledge about Islam also appeared when he met Yenny Wahid at the PBNU office a few years ago, when he entered prayer time, Prabowo was asked to become an imam for prayer, what happened? He invited Yenny to become a prayer leader politely. The reason Prabowo invited Yenny Wahid to be a prayer was because Yenny was a son of a Kyai.
This certainly shows ridiculous politeness, in this case, Prabowo’s team must keep their hero not joking or dancing sewer.
There is a hadith that says “Let ye keep silent when the call to prayer, otherwise Allah will confuse his tongue when death approaches him.”
This clearly shows that every Muslim is encouraged to keep quiet and not say anything as long as the call to prayer reverberates. As a Muslim, we must respect the call to prayer. Because there are many advantages behind the sound of the call to prayer.

Prabowo’s attitude when the call to prayer could certainly be a blunder when he gave speeches in front of his supporters, on the other hand, he was also able to make the Indonesian people frown on his attitude.
As a society, it is certainly not our job to measure the level of one’s faith. Since childhood, Prabowo has lived in non-Muslim circles, but at this time the Islamic party approached him, then declared # 2019 over the president who helped enliven the social media universe.

In this case, we can compare the two presidential candidates when giving a speech, this comparison lies not only in the issue of a country that is in danger of being destroyed or a message of optimism to meet the future. In plain view, we can see very basic differences between the two candidates.
Jokowi did not move at all during the call to prayer, none of these words were spoken from the lips of number 1 in Indonesia. While different things have been shown by Prabowo where he still took time to take a selfie and also he was still talking and had to be reminded by the clerics to stop his speech when the call to prayer.
Whatever traces are inscribed either by Jokowi or Prabowo, they will certainly be recorded in various virtual worlds. It is time for Indonesian people to learn with an open mind in determining the fate of the nation.
If one of our factors in determining the choice for the 2019 presidential election is the factor of religious knowledge, it is clearly not necessary to explain it again, who is eligible to be chosen as the number one leader in Indonesia.
