Support for Jokowi-Amin from the Alumni of Telkom University

Volunteers supporting candidate number 01, Jokowi-Amin, were present from academics. Previously, Alumni from the University of Indonesia (UI) also gave their support in the 2019 Pilpres event to Jokowi-JK, and currently Telkom University alumni Volunteers Jokowi-Ma’ruf Amin Komunitas (Telunjoe’k) declared support for the couple Joko Widodo-Ma ‘Amen.
Telkom University Alumni support Jokowi-Ma’ruf Amin with the aim of winning number one in the 2019 Presidential Election and have the principle that they are from campus alumni, so it can be called a part of the intellectuals. So after 4 years of the administration of President Jokowi, they really felt what had happened during his leadership. And that looks very rational as it is now that development is indeed happening right now and it must continue. That is the spirit of Telkom Alumni to support Jokowi-Ma’ruf as president 2019-2024.
The action they will take by moving to mobilize the masses through campaigns on social media. Why does it have to be social media? According to him, because at present the topics and narratives that are hoax are quite high on social media, so the Telkom University alumni will raise positive narratives in this 2019 Presidential Election and Pileg as well as Jokowi’s concrete work results built so far. Which means that the campaign conducted tries to straighten the news on social media with facts and data that already exists. Especially regarding oblique issues that are often thrown by the media to the Jokowi-Amin couple.
As we can see, the coverage of Jokowi-Ma’ruf Amin on social media is quite cornering. Candidate number 2 sees candidate number 1 very mastering the mainstream media, so they use the path by playing on social media, then the positive trend of social media is currently controlled by candidate pair number 2. Very clearly seen, their activities are structured with the power of cyber army very well conceptualized. Therefore, what we can do is fight and balance their campaigns. Because actually the supporters on social media can be said to have a high enough contribution, because Telunjo’ek alumni were present to encourage all netizens on social media to immediately speak up and speak out.
It seems that the support of academics means that supporters of Jokowi-Amin are indeed from an intelligent and educated group and are very concerned about the fate of the people and the progress of the nation. Intellectuals are just ivory towers that separate educated people from people’s energy, and Jokowi is considered appropriate as a people’s leader who is able to move optimism rather than fear and pessimism.
