The success of organizing the P20 international event in Indonesia has proven to be able to bring new enthusiasm for all members of the delegation present to be able to unite their views in order to jointly recover world conditions from the global crisis and welcome a better life together.

The P20 event, which was held in Jakarta, and made Indonesia the host, went very well and smoothly. The entire smoothness also cannot be separated from the efforts of the security forces in maintaining and ensuring the smooth running of the event from any potential disturbances.

Metro Jaya Police Chief, Inspector General Fadil Imran discussed the theme of the G20 Indonesia presidency which carries the message ‘Recover Together, Recover Stronger ‘ and one aspect that supports recovery is security. Therefore, Polda Metro Jaya together with relevant agencies are committed to supporting Indonesia’s recovery process by guarding a safe and conducive situation.

According to him, one of the best components to be able to help accelerate the national economic recovery is to provide a sense of security and be able to protect the community. Therefore, a very large commitment was shown by the Polda Metro Jaya and Kodam Jaya in their contribution to creating a sense of security and conduciveness in the capital city of Jakarta.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the House of Representatives’ Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Agency (BKSAP), Fadli Zon, stated that the results of the Parliamentary Speakers Summit (P20) will immediately be made part of a joint statement and continue to be encouraged to be brought to the G20 forum in November 2022. future.

The joint statement in question is the result of discussions on issues that have been a priority from the start in the P20 series of events, which include efforts to achieve accelerated sustainable development and a green economy, including several current issues, discussions on food and energy crises. , global economic challenges, the role of parliament and democracy, gender equality to social inclusion.

Since the beginning, the spirit that Indonesia has continued to carry as the G20 Presidency is a series of agendas to be able to carry out recovery together, with the main theme being ‘ Recover Together, Recover Stronger ‘ to invite all G20 member countries to recover together in the face of all challenges. kind of a multidimensional crisis due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto, explained that the current global crisis should have been overcome together with a high spirit of solidarity. The goal is to get rid of the egos of each party because it will not be useful at all if you really want to overcome many global crises.

Indonesia even continues to urge developed countries to fulfill their promises related to climate change, namely by providing funding of 100 billion US dollars to developing countries. Because if there is no assistance from developed countries, then the principles of justice and growing together will also be difficult to achieve, of course all parties must also be aware of being able to help each other.

Similarly, the Chairperson of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, continues to encourage the P20 meeting to really contribute to the handling of the world food crisis. Seeing how the condition of the world is currently completely uncertain, of course Indonesia cannot remain silent at all. With the P20 in line with this G20 Summit, all parties must indeed become a bridge or mediator to find concrete solutions.

The implementation of The 8th G20 Parliamentary Speakers Summit (P20) is indeed a very important momentum to support the upcoming G20 Summit meeting because it is hoped that it will provide many concrete steps to further emphasize the discussion of various strategic issues which will be continued to be appointed at the G20 Summit for the good of the world. With that, the Indonesian House of Representatives also underlined that it is very important for parliament’s power to be able to support the government, one of which is in the context of post-pandemic recovery, including responding to global issues.

The success of the Parliamentary Speakers’ Summit of the G20 (P20) countries which was held at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta on 5 to 7 October 2022, became a barometer that Indonesia is indeed very capable of hosting an international event. And it will also become one of the standard benchmarks for other international events such as the G20 Summit.

Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, stated that the P20 meeting was a very strategic event because it would be able to have a very real impact on G20 member countries and even to resolve several world crises. Not without reason, because the G20 members themselves can be said to control 85% of the world economy and own 65% of the world’s population. So, of course, all concrete actions taken will have an impact.

Of course, it cannot be denied that this P20 event has a very important and also big role for the improvement of the world in the future. Especially with the current state of crisis, the success of the P20 implementation was able to bring new enthusiasm to all parties to come together from adversity.
