The Indonesian people will once again voice their right to vote at the Regional Head Election Democratic Party (Pilkada). The people have the opportunity to elect the leader they consider most appropriate to lead their region. However, as the Pilkada approaches, the situation often becomes tense and the potential for conflict increases. Therefore, it is very important for all parties to maintain a conducive situation so that the democratic process can run well and the results can be accepted fairly by all parties.
In the context of the Pilkada, there are various parties who have roles and responsibilities to keep the situation conducive. These parties include the government, political parties, regional head candidates, and the community. Each party has its own responsibilities, and cooperation between all parties is very necessary to create a safe and orderly atmosphere.

The Central Sulawesi Regional Police have anticipated various potential disturbances such as acts of violence, SARA issues, and other security disturbances that have the potential to hamper the implementation of the Pilkada.
It is important for the entire community to work together to ensure that the situation remains conducive during the 2024 Pilkada, by avoiding acts of provocation, spreading hoax news and hate speech during the Pilkada and being obliged to report all suspicious actions to the authorities.
The community as voters also has a big responsibility in maintaining a conducive situation ahead of the Pilkada. Public awareness and active participation in the Pilkada process is very important to create a safe and democratic atmosphere. The public is expected to use their voting rights wisely and not be easily provoked by news or information whose truth is unclear.
Community involvement in the election monitoring process is also very necessary. Through active supervision, the public can help prevent fraud or violations in the Pilkada process. In addition, society must promote mutual respect and tolerance, and avoid actions that could worsen the situation.
Apart from that, the government must anticipate potential problems that may arise during the Pilkada process. For example, the government needs to cooperate with security forces to prevent acts of violence or intimidation. The government must also ensure that information related to the regional elections is conveyed transparently to the public, so that there are no misunderstandings or speculation that could trigger tensions.

The government, both at the central and regional levels, plays a key role in maintaining a conducive situation ahead of the regional elections. The government’s main task is to ensure that the regional election process runs in accordance with the established rules. This includes providing the facilities necessary for the implementation of Pilkada, such as polling stations (TPS) and security systems.
Increased cooperation between parties, encouraging all parties to work together in creating a conducive regional election atmosphere. Cooperation between the government, political parties, regional head candidates and the community is very important to overcome potential problems that may arise.
As the Pilkada approaches, maintaining a conducive situation is a shared responsibility. The government, political parties, regional head candidates and the community must work together to create a safe and orderly atmosphere. By obeying the rules, upholding ethics, and communicating well, all parties can contribute to a democratic and fair regional election process. Only in this way can regional elections run smoothly and the results can be well received by all parties, as well as being a reflection of the nation’s democratic maturity.
