Papua – TOP ID, is the first original technology brand assembled by Papuan children, developed by the Papuan Youth Inspiring Youth Organization (PMI), which is a youth organization under the auspices of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN).
BIN’s Head of Research and Development Center, Armi Susandi, revealed that significant innovations have been produced by young Papuan superior talents.
“Significant innovation has produced superior talent with the creation of 2 sophisticated applications namely Clean Trash-Containder, and Papua Pacific Park which is installed on the gadget made by the Papua Youth Creative Hub (PYCH) under the guidance of the BIN Research and Development Center,” said Armi.
Armi believes this information technology innovation can help improve the quality of life for the Papuan people through human resource development and with applications that provide various conveniences for the Papuan people.
Armi also explained that through the Clean Garbage-Containder application, several benefits are very meaningful for the people of Papua with its innovative features.
“Some of these features include real-time TPS (waste disposal sites) monitoring features, coordination and supervision of cleaners, more advanced waste management, the most up-to-date waste data collection, and payment gateways for waste retribution,” he explained.
In addition, another application called Papua Pacific Park is a digital application that provides significant benefits for the development of tourism in Papua.
“This application has several excellent features such as tourism, lodging and culinary which can synergistically support the development of tourism in Papua,” said Armi.
It is hoped that this breakthrough will also trigger the development of innovation and creativity for the younger generation of Papua in the future.
“With the latest breakthroughs from Papuan youths in making smartphones and laptops and their applications, it is hoped that this can become an inspiration and spark a spirit of innovation and creativity, especially in the field of information technology, for the younger generation of Papua, Indonesia, and even the world,” said the graduated Doctor. Meanwhile, PMI Technology Program Manager Elia Musa Rawar revealed that the launch of this brand was a milestone for the technology industry in Papua and opened the door for more innovation in the future.
“TOP ID, which stands for Torang Papua Indonesia, is a significant breakthrough and provides opportunities for young Papuans to own and market their own products,” he concluded.
The birth of TOP ID is a direct order from BIN Chief General Police (Purn) Budi Gunawan which will be launched at the inauguration of PYCH, 21 March 2023 by Indonesian President Joko Widodo.
