Secretary General of PP Muhammadiyah Prof. Abdul Mu’ti spoke up regarding the many negative comments against President Jokowi.
He said that in the era of President Jokowi there have been many significant changes and many achievements made by President Jokowi.
“We must become a nation that is able to appreciate and respect its leaders by objectively assessing comprehensively the achievements that have been achieved by President Jokowi and his staff, we must appreciate them,” said Secretary General of PP Muhammadiyah Prof. Abdul Mu’ti in Jakarta, Friday (20/9/2024).
He even emphasized that the public must fully accept the results of the last presidential election.
“First, we must accept the results of the election as part of the consequences of us choosing a democratic system. So that the election of Prabowo and Gibran is not only a victory for them, but also a victory for the Indonesian nation. Because a peaceful, orderly election is part of our maturity in democracy,” he said. The public is also urged to give full trust to the new government in the Prabowo Gibran era.
“Let’s give the new government a chance to lead the country’s administration. That, in my opinion, is a consequence of democracy, and the election of Prabowo-Gibran, we give them the chance to work. Third, give trust,” he added.
