The Indonesian Government through The Indonesia Embassy (KBRI) to Malaysia has sent a protest note to the Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs over RoboVac enterprise, which created an insulting advertisement “Fire Your Indonesian Maid Now”.
Along with that, KBRI urged the Malaysian authority to ban the commercial, including the one published on the RoboVac s website http://neatrobotcleaner.com.my. KBRI considered that the commercial was discriminatory and provocative.
Indonesian Ambassador to Malaysia, Herman Prayitno, said “ the Indonesian Government deplores the way RoboVac enterprise advertised their products which humiliate the Indonesian people”.
Mr. Prayitno emphasized “Moreover, this has emerged ahead of President Joko Widodo’s visit to Malaysia on February 5-7, which aims to enhance and deepen the bilateral relations between Indonesia and Malaysia, which are mutually beneficial.”
Beside that, KBRI also has retained a lawyer to send a protest to RoboVac enterprise and analyze the further legal approaches that could be taken. Additionally, he will report the “racist” advertisement to the Selangor Regional Police.
The commercia; which enraged Indnesian labour in Malaysia was first discovered on 3rd February, 2014.
