President Jokowi inaugurated the Papua Youth Creative Hub. The existence of the Papua Youth Creative Hub must be appreciated because it can advance and help the sons of Papua to continue to work.
Equitable development is one of the programs emphasized during the administration of President Jokowi. He likes blusukan to Papua, to listen to the voice of the people. So that they know what is needed by the community and there will be a principle of justice, because all the people from Sabang to Merauke get the attention of the government.
One area that has received special attention from President Jokowi is Papua. In fact, he is the President of Indonesia who most often visits the Cendrawasih Earth. Including when he held the groundbreaking of the Papua Youth Creative Hub in Abepura District, Jayapura City, on October 2, 2021.
President Jokowi hopes that the Papua Youth Creative Hub can be a driving force, a center for developing great talents in Papua, and a creative center for young Papuan people in strengthening the existing innovation ecosystem.
The plan to create a Papua Youth Creative Hub is a follow-up to President Jokowi’s meeting with a number of Papuan youths in September 2019. Then at the inauguration of the Youtefa bridge at the end of 2019, the President appreciated the declaration of the Inspirational Young Papua program, including the Papua Youth Creative Hub.
The President continued, the Papua Youth Creative Hub can develop the talents of Papuan youth in various fields, ranging from science, sports, arts and culture, etc. They have great potential for advancement. Later, the Papua Youth Creative Hub will become a forum for various talents such as millennial farmers, digital ecosystems, and research and innovation development.
Papua Youth Creative Hub is a place that will have various facilities, including co working space, space for learning technology, digital technology, concert hall, room for product innovation, dormitories, and sports facilities. It is hoped that the various facilities provided will be able to help Papuan youths to develop their potential.
So far, it is possible that Papuan youths have talent but are confused about where to channel it or do not have a place to form a community, even though it is a shame if their talents are buried in vain. Therefore, the existence of the Papua Youth Creative Hub should be appreciated because it can be a gathering place. So that young people share and collaborate to create new works.
With the facilities at the Papua Youth Creative Hub, young people from Bumi Cendrawasih who are talented in the arts will be able to develop their talents. They can become great artists such as Edo Kondologit, Nowela, Funky Papua, Ari Sihasale, etc. who are citizens of Papuan descent. So they will be able to become acting artists, singers, or professional art workers.
Interestingly, the Papua Youth Creative Hub does not only provide facilities for the development of arts and culture, but also modern agriculture, digital technology, and innovation. So that young people will become farmers who innovate and create new crop variants. Then by mastering digital technology, they can market it via the internet so that the reach of buyers is wider.
The Papua Youth Creative Hub is an excellent place as a candradimuka crater, so that young people from Earth of Cendrawasih can hone their talents and develop their potential. They can have a representative meeting place for brainstorming, sharing new ideas, or learning new technologies. So that it will be more intelligent, creative, and help in the development of Papua in the future.
