April 17 Do not Abstain and Become a Witness for the Sustainability of National Leadership and Progress in Indonesia

The White Group or Golput is basically a moral movement initiated on June 3, 1971 at Balai Budaya Jakarta, a month before the voting day in the first election in the New Order era was held.
The term “white” is used because this movement recommends that the white part be cast on paper or ballots outside the picture of the parties participating in the election for those who come to the voting booth. While the famous figure leading this movement is Arief Budiman.
Ahead of the 2019 election which will be held in a few weeks, this country is troubled by two unpleasant headlines, namely hoaxes and movements to invite other people to abstain. This condition is different from the purpose of politics in the 1971 Election as the story above. The current issue of Golput hoaxes and provocations in the 2019 Election is a pattern of intimidation and strategy of certain groups to win their choices by intimidating and frightening other steps so they do not choose to even provoke hoaxes by certain hoaxes so that certain candidates become less choosy.
These two problems are very troubling because they have the potential to damage the democratic party climate which should be carried out happily and democratically without intimidation. On the other hand, we must be wary of other groups who are riding and always want to make the Indonesian nation destroyed because they have a desire that Indonesia must be in accordance with its understanding, we must unite because when the democratic climate is damaged, Indonesia is in the midst of destruction.
On the basis of this consideration we must be together in fighting individuals who like to spread hoaxes and those who are intensively inviting others to abstain, for that let us fight hoaxes and do not abstain etc. Don’t be afraid to choose according to our smart mind choices and our conscience for the sake of Indonesia’s continued development and national leadership towards an increasingly advanced Indonesia. If we are united, we can do it.
At present there are many millennials and netizens who have agreed and declared against the hoax and rejected the abstention for the progress of the nation. Then we must continue to support and do not be afraid to choose and use voting rights intelligently. Remember April 17 will be a witness for us who want to see Indonesia Advancing in all fields through the success of Indonesia’s sustainable development and national leadership.
