During the May 22 riots, the National Police succeeded in revealing three people who were arrested for possessing illegal weapons. He then showed a long barrel rifle which was thought to be used to make riots on May 22 2019, namely the M4 type long barrel rifle.
The Tito’s rifle was equipped with sound absorbers. The rifle also has no shield, so it can be fitted with a telescope. As a result, the weapon can function as a sniper rifle which does not cause noise when fired.
Tito explained that the police seized the weapon several days before the May 22 demonstration took place. The police seized the weapons from a number of people suspected of making riots on May 22.
According to Tito, the weapon was planned to be used to attack not only the apparatus, but also the participants of the demonstration. With the death of the demo participants, Tito said that this group wanted to create a martyrdom alias. He said the group would make it appear as if the perpetrators of the shooting were officers.
Tito also said that the National Police not only confiscated long-barreled weapons. In the arrest of 3 people on May 21, 2019, the police also seized at least two pistols and 60 rounds of ammunition.
According to the perpetrator, he said the weapon would be used on May 22, 2019. This group, he said, also had a plan to anger the authorities.
Until Thursday morning, riots had subsided. There are still a few people in the area around Bawaslu. But the police were able to control the situation around the Bawaslu office.
In addition, the Indonesian National Police (Polri) succeeded in uncovering the scenario of alleged plans to murder four national figures on the 22 May 2019 action, the scenario was revealed after 6 suspected riots were captured.
The six suspects are HK, AZ, IF, TJ, AD and AF. They were arrested in different locations.
The head of the Police Headquarters Public Relations division, Inspector General Mohammad Iqbal, explained the chronology of the planned murder. He also said that they had agreed to the planned murder since October 2018.
AF was arrested on Friday (24/5) in the area of Jl Muhammad Thamrin, in Central Jakarta (Central Jakarta). AF is said to be the owner of a short barrel gun or a 38-caliber taurus type revolver.

Finally, the police also succeeded in arresting the Army, who was also called the seller of three guns, a long-barreled, and short type of assembly to HK.
The National Police has not revealed the reason why the six suspects targeted four figures and one leader of the survey institution. But if you look at the names of the targets, the four national figures have high class profiles.

The other two killer targets, namely Gorie Mere, are now President Joko Widodo’s Expert Staff in the field of intelligence and terrorism. The disclosure of the evil scenario of the 22 May 2019 riots certainly proves that the National Police and the TNI have seriousness to uphold the law and eliminate acts of terrorism. However, the TNI-Polri should not only stop the arrest of actors in the field, but also intellectual leaders and funders of riots. With the arrest of the mastermind behind the rioting, it is expected that similar incidents will not be repeated again.
