Corona variant delta AY.4.2 should be watched out for because it is more vicious than usual. Although we have not yet entered Indonesia, we should be aware of the new variant of Covid-19 by always obeying Prokes.
The pandemic has made everyone more alert because the Covid-19 virus is still roaming around in Indonesia. Moreover, it has mutated into Beta, Gamma, Delta, and so on variants, so we must continue to be disciplined in implementing the 10M health protocol. Don’t be careless and lazy to wear a mask and end up getting Corona and suffering for 2 weeks.
The danger of the mutated Covid-19 virus is more powerful because it attacks the body’s immunity faster. The Delta variant of Corona can even be transmitted when someone crosses paths with OTG, so to prevent it we all must wear double masks. A disposable sheet mask inside and a cloth mask outside, to strengthen the air filtration to 90%.
Currently the most wary of is the Corona variant AY.4.2 aka Delta Plus, which has entered Singapore. Although there have been no reports that the mutated virus has entered Indonesia, precautions must be taken so that it does not spread unnoticed.
Spokesperson for Vaccination of the Ministry of Health, Doctor Siti Nadia Tarmizi, stated that the government was increasing vigilance, especially at the entrance to Indonesia. The goal is not to let the Corona Delta Plus variant come through foreign tourists or Indonesian citizens who have traveled from abroad.
Doctor Siti Nadia continued, to secure entry to Indonesia, especially at the airport, every tourist must show proof that they have been vaccinated. They are also required to quarantine for 5 days at the designated hotel, then be swab tested up to 3 times. It is hoped that this action will prevent the entry of the Delta Plus variant of Corona in Indonesia.
Prevention is mandatory and security at the entrance to Indonesia is getting tighter. The reason is that the Corona delta plus variant has been circulating in Singapore. We must not be ignorant, but must remain vigilant, so that no more virus mutations enter this country.
Sonny Harry B, the head of the behavioral change field for the Covid Handling Task Force, stated that the Delta Plus variant of Corona must not enter Indonesia. The reason is because it spreads faster than the Covid-19 virus which has not mutated. I’m afraid, when the virus has spread, it will reduce the efficacy of the vaccine. We are also on guard, lest this new variant cause a third wave of Corona attacks.
According to doctor Wiku Adisasmito, the characteristics of the Delta Plus variant of Corona are high fever, rash and itching on the skin, and diarrhea. This virus is also contagious and spreads faster because it is the result of mutation. So if it lands on a person’s body, especially if he has not been vaccinated, it will be very dangerous.
To prevent the entry of the Delta plus variant of the Covid-19 virus and the third wave of Corona attacks, we are all obliged to obey health protocols and vaccinations. Wear a double mask and always order to wash your hands, if necessary bring a bottle containing disinfectant, so that everything is sterile. Avoid eating at restaurants or stalls for the time being, as there is potential for contact with OTG, and take-away food is preferable.
Don’t let the Corona Delta Plus variant enter Indonesia and destroy everything, and reduce the efficacy of the vaccine. We must be vigilant and must not be slack in implementing the 10M health protocol. In addition, security at the entrance to Indonesia is also being tightened to prevent the entry of the mutated virus.
