Public discipline in implementing every health protocol is the key to success in reducing the Covid-19 distribution curve in Indonesia. By turning the curve down, all parties are expected to be able to carry out activities as before and live normally as before.
President Joko Widodo said that the Government continued to work hard so that the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic immediately declined. As long as the virus still exists, the president asks the entire community to remain disciplined in compliance with the health protocol.
President Joko Widodo also hopes that in May the Covid-19 positive case curve in Indonesia will decline. Then in June it was in a moderate state and in July it was already in a mild state. He believes that hope will be realized if all elements of society unite together over the Covid-19 pandemic.
Indonesian Ambassador to New Zealand, Samoa and Tonga Tantowi Yahya informed the success of the Government in implementing discipline in New Zealand is inseparable from the support of its people.
If you view countries that are worse off, like China. The bamboo curtain country is moving aggressively and effectively. WHO even praised China as the country with the fastest and best response in the history of infectious disease outbreaks. That happened because of the compactness between the Government and the community. China’s alacrity in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic is inseparable from their experience in dealing with the Corona SARS virus in 2003 ago. At that time China was not transparent and was frantic. The policy that was made was chaotic so that it killed many people because of confusion and the economy was chaotic. Therefore, China does not want to repeat the mistake.
Although South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Japan are not as fast as China in moving, they learn a lot from the country where the outbreak came from. The key to success in dealing with Covid-19 lies in community management, quarantine rules and community checks. All of that must be carried out with a high level of discipline.
Appropriate and effective policies can help slow down the spread of Covid-19. However, the most important thing is the success of implementing the policy itself requires cooperation from all parties.
West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil said that the Covid-19 pandemic could end soon if people were disciplined in carrying out social restrictions and followed the government’s appeal.
High discipline in implementing physical distancing, this pandemic will soon end in June. The situation could return to normal at the end of June if all levels of society were disciplined. Is not returning to normal life is everyone’s hope? For this reason, the awareness of discipline in carrying out all the calls of the Government must be embedded in the minds of every community, especially those in the red zone.
The most important thing right now in narrowing the spread of Covid-19 is public awareness not to go home. This awareness can be a form of solidarity between the community and medical staff who are struggling against Covid-19 in the red zone.
If there is no high form of discipline among the people, the possibility of the Covid-19 pandemic will only subside at the end of the year. This is a terrible thing that no one wants.
Many countries have proven that discipline is the key to success in fighting the Covid-19 pandemic. Because the attitude of neglect and disobedience will only worsen the situation. For this reason, let’s be disciplined in everything such as discipline in maintaining cleanliness, discipline in maintaining distance, discipline in not going home, and discipline for staying at home.
