The government’s plan to bring in 500 Foreign Workers (TKA) from China has caused a commotion among the public. The government is considered to have no empathy for the Covid-19 pandemic originating from Wuhan-China. When in fact the Government has strictly selected the incoming TKA and the arrival of the TKA is not happening at this time. The public is advised not to get caught up in the politicization of the arrival of 500 foreign workers
Bringing foreign workers into a polemic in the community. Especially if imported from China. They are inflamed, assume the government is favoritism. Though this workforce certainly works only temporarily. Chinese foreign workers were chosen because their work is good and their salaries are not too high, different from other expatriates.
An additional 500 foreign workers are planned to be brought back to Indonesia. Suddenly this plan made many people suddenly overheated. Ranging from politicians to the governor, criticized it harshly. As if this would displace the position of the workers in Indonesia. Though not so reality. They will be placed in other positions and will not make native Indonesian employees lose their jobs.
Abdurrahman Saleh, a member of the Southeast Sulawesi PKS faction, will demonstrate directly at the airport, if indeed the TKA really landed in Indonesia. It was planned that he would invite all members of the faction, including those in the Kendari, Konawe, and southern Konawe DPRDs, to demonstrate against their arrival. Governor Ali Mazi also refused the arrival of 500 foreign workers from China. He who led in Southeast Sulawesi argued that the atmosphere of mysticism of the people in the area did not want to accept their arrival.
The arrival of 500 foreign workers has been politicized and the news is fried to the point where many people are beard fires. Moreover, they are from China. There are still people who are allergic if they have contact with them and have synophopia. Even though they had never met before, how could they hate workers from the bamboo curtain country?
In addition, the Covid-19 pandemic was also put to good use by agitators and hoax makers. The arrival of 500 foreign workers could make many people infected with C orona. That’s the issue that is echoed and made people angry. Though this is wrong. Plans to bring in foreign workers have been around a long time ago, long before the corona virus invaded Wuhan and spread throughout the world.
The workers who came from China certainly confirmed their health condition before going to Indonesia. In fact, it could be a body temperature check and other tests to make sure they don’t carry the Covid-19 virus , far more thoroughly than in Indonesia. If their body temperature is above 40 degrees Celsius, they certainly will not be allowed to board a plane.
The planned arrival of foreign workers is still a few months away, the fastest in July this year. Their admission process is still long , because they are still taking care of documents in the form of visas, temporary residence permits, and others. after all, many flights between countries were closed. So it is certain that they will come when the Covid-19 pandemic situation is safe and will not pass it on to Indonesia.
The people do not need to be confused and then swear at the local government for the policy of bringing in foreign workers. The company certainly has its own considerations, why bring in Chinese foreign workers. Moreover, there is already a permit from the Ministry of Energy to the Office. So this is legal and does not violate any regulations.
The company leader had originally sought Indonesian employees. But unfortunately many do not match the required qualifications. Even if there is someone who is competent, he rejects them raw.
