Door to Door Vaccination Effectively Prevents Covid-19 Surge Ahead of Nataru

BIN continues to expand the coverage of door-to-door vaccinations to the public. This strategy was implemented to achieve the target of 3 million injections per day while anticipating a spike in Covid-19 ahead of Nataru.
Towards the end of the year we must be aware of the new Corona cluster due to crowds and mass mobility. If there are 2 things, it can trigger a spike in Covid cases in Indonesia. Even though the situation is relatively safe and the number of patients per day is ‘only’ 500 people. We must be vigilant so that there are no further increases in cases and we can get out of the pandemic status as soon as possible.
One way to prevent a spike in Corona cases is by door-to-door vaccination. Vaccination initiated by the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) is carried out by visiting the community directly or not at hospitals and health centers, but in other places.
BIN North Sulawesi (Sulut) held a door-to-door vaccination in Malls, precisely at Mantos 3, Star Square, and Megamall. Vaccination is deliberately carried out in shopping centers in order to reach the target of 25,500 people who have been vaccinated in North Sulawesi. The head of the North Sulawesi BIN, Laksma TNI Adriansyah, said that mall visitors who had not been vaccinated did not have to worry about not being able to enter the mall because they could take advantage of the vaccination booth there.
Admiral TNI Adriansyah continued, vaccinations in Malls are carried out to achieve a minimum of 70% vaccination so that group immunity is formed. So far, only 21,000 people have been vaccinated and the rest will be accelerated, especially ahead of the year-end holidays.
Speeding up vaccinations ahead of the year-end holidays is indeed done as protection. So that if there is a crowd in public places such as city parks and zoos, all visitors will be protected because they have been vaccinated. They have a high immune system so they will not be infected with Corona.
The door to door vaccinations carried out in the Mall are highly appreciated by the community because the place is often visited, making it easier for many people to get vaccines. Before shopping, they can get vaccinations and go home relieved because they can shop while increasing their immunity. The relaxed Mall situation also reduces tension during injections.
When there is a vaccination in the mall, people don’t have to go to the hospital or health center. Moreover, the queue inside the mall is more spacious so that more people can get injections than in the Puskesmas, which has a much narrower space. If the place is large, you can maintain the health protocol and keep your distance.
Vaccination in the Mall is also a symbiotic mutualism. Mall visitors go up and get benefits because after the injection they become snacks at the foodcourt and the parking lot is fuller, thus increasing their income. While the vaccination organizers can get a much more spacious room, with air conditioning as well.
Vaccination is very important because it can increase the body’s immunity so as to minimize the transmission of Corona. Especially now that the Covid-19 virus has mutated into a more virulent variant of Omicron. So that vaccination is protection, so as not to be exposed to any variant of Corona.
The door-to-door vaccinations held in shopping centers are highly appreciated by the public, because they bring civilians closer to free vaccine injections. When there is a vaccination in the mall, people will be interested and want to queue, and they don’t have to register at the hospital or health center like they used to.
