Elements and Components of Society Must Maintain National Stability

President Jokowi and Vice President KH. Ma’ruf Amin has a mission to realize an advanced Indonesia. In supporting the program national stability is needed as the main capital for implementing the development program. The national stability must also be supported by all components and elements of society, including the press and students.
The press is seen as the fourth pillar of democracy and is considered capable of determining important information that can be consumed by the public. Meanwhile, the young generation is the subject of development that can make a real contribution to the country.
The role of the mass media is as an effective and efficient means of conveying information and messages. According to Gurevitch and Blumer (1990: 270) press functions include; As an environmental observer from the existing socio-political situation. The mass media can function as a control tool that is able to provide a variety of information. The press can also be a forum for dialogue about differences in views that exist within the community or between power holders (existing and future). The press is considered as a means to accommodate the various aspirations, views, and paradigms of the people who want to take part in building better political stability.
So that its spread is expected to dominate positive news and not “make it up” or even hateful at the same time. Because, the press has control over this. Various public opinions will be built in tandem with the news passed by the press. If the news is bad, then the public will get into the flow of unhealthy conversation. However, if the news is presented in accordance with the content and is not “nosy”, then the public will also be able to. react to it better.
Especially against the Jokowi – Ma’ruf government. Don’t just deviate content is disseminated. However, also give a variety of results of development achievements that are painstakingly created. Now the presidency is filled with the same people, whose contribution to the country’s progress has been widely recognized. So there is no need for doubt to fully support the government of this era.
Even with the role of today’s young generation, it is a subject of development that can work for the progress of the country, including in terms of posting positive content on social media. Moreover, the use of this social media sophistication is increasing. And some of the users are young people today. Which he said, “Not online, not cool”. Although this sentence has a variety of meanings, in reality most use as a medium to “vent”. Not only internal family problems, now its reach is wider, namely politics.
This indicates that actually our young generation is aware of the current situation and conditions. Although access to social media is easy, it is not without obstacles. Mesdsos is able to be a gathering place for young people to explore creativity through the content they upload. However, on the other hand, social media can be the fruit of Simalakama. Especially if it is associated with the world of politics. This is normal in some countries.
For example, when the Tunisian Revolution erupted starting from social media, a man staged a protest by burning himself which then went viral. Worse, this automatically triggers similar movements. In the end, this revolution, influenced by the power of social media, was driving political change in the regions of the Arab country popular with The Arab Spring.
Even with the use of social media for political activities in the archipelago that experienced ups and downs. Social media is able to provide news and content according to the “wearer”. So that everything is in the hands of its users. Posting positive content will be interactive, if negative, of course, will reap polemics.
This social media can open wide access. Anyone can contribute to being a content writer in it. So this social media is not entirely wrong. Political awareness of the younger generation should be accompanied by wisdom in terms of its management. Moreover, the younger generation is a potential successor to the nation, which must be able to become the front guard in the realization of political stability in the country.
It is not a simple thing, considering the current of globalization continues to erode the times. If you are not very clever to bring yourself then it will only be a “slave” of technology. Moreover, today’s young generation is smart enough to respond to the various things happening outside. Therefore they are urged to keep going according to the corridors that build political stabilization on the motherland, to be even better.
The conclusion is, this element which consists of the press, the younger generation, and political stability is expected to provide a sustainable positive role for the progress and prosperity of the Indonesian people. Especially related to the support and control of the current government (Jokowi – Ma’ruf). Because, supporting the government’s steps means taking part in advancing the nation. Which incidentally the leader can be trusted and has proven its performance.
