There are many ways by the Indonesian government to solve the problem of Papua, starting from providing special autonomy funds since 2001, building a number of infrastructure to finance students from Papua and West Papua to study in several cities in Indonesia and even abroad. But all these efforts seem insufficient to solve the core problems (core problems).
The existence of separatist groups such as the OPM and a number of supporting elements such as NFRPB, ULMWP, KNPB and others although small in number but in cooperation with a number of NGOs which are predicted to lack norms and nationalist values always try to enlarge, expand and blow up the Papua problem, including by 1 December 2019, was informed if novice students from Papua who did not want to take to the streets were threatened by their seniors not to go to college. Indeed, the Indonesian government should use elites or church administrators, priests and pastors especially those registered in the KWI and PGI to be involved in solving the Papua problem, because anthropological, sociological and religious approaches need to be tried in Papua and West Papua.
Using pastors, priests and church administrators / leaders in Papua, West Papua, Maluku, East Java, North Sumatra, Central Java, North Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, Riau, Riau Islands, Central Kalimantan, West Java and NTT is an effective way to solve problems Papua and OPM political wing maneuvers in several cities.
