We are grateful that the Indonesian have young people who are creative and care about the future of their nation, even though they openly state their support to one of the two candidates but they show their support through their own means; creative and innovative. Promoting his choices without degrading, dropping or even slandering other candidates who are not his choice.
Islam teaches people to be just and not based on hatred as stated in the word of Allah Surah Al-Maidah verse 8 which means: “O believers, be You to be the people who always uphold Allah, be a witness of justice. And do not let your hatred against any people, induce you to be unfair. Be fair, because fair is closer to piety. and fear Allah: for Allah know well all that ye do. So in Javanese philosophy there is also a pretty positive message, among others, “ngluruk tanpo bolo, menang tanpa ngasorake” (fighting without sacrificing supporters, winning without humiliating or humiliating).
Meanwhile, our young people are delivering moral messages in their own way. Start from creating television ads to invite young people to participate. There are also those who create a song that is aimed at one of the candidates, but it contains messages to keep the peace in difference. Campaign substance is as a venue for the socialization of the vision and mission and the work plan of each candidate. There are many ways and models of campaigns that are intelligent, creative and educating rather than the use of unethical ways that will lead to greater disaster and moral damage. The campaign should not only serve as a platform to express uncontrolled mass freedom, especially to be arenas, to scorn and to defame, even to threaten its political opponents.
Muslims and all Indonesian societies do not want to be chosen by a leader of the outcome of the ruthless process and the elimination of any means, including black campaign results that are far from religious ethics and morals let alone sell SARA issues (tribes, religions, racial and racial groups ) which has led to the actions of ghibah (plead), and the most hated slander and in the anger of Allah SWT.
Islam is a religion that teaches every one of his followers to always put his trust in his actions, including in the course of the campaign ahead of the election of 2019 this time. The Word of Allah, which means: “Call on the way of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction and defend them in a good way”.
This is where the commitment of ‘peaceful campaign and integrity’ should be appreciated as a form of goodwill as well as the national commitment of each candidate, election organizers, to the Indonesian community as a whole in the success of the election of honest, fair and reliable election. Only through this fair, fair and trustworthy Electoral process will yield a leader of the integrity of the people’s choice.
We hope that anyone who will eventually be elected President and Vice President in Indonesia for the five years ahead will be able to carry out his / her leadership mandate well and earnestly, work, strive for the prosperity, prosperity, justice and progress of the Indonesian nation as a whole, not only for the sake of self, the support party and its group alone.
And for those who are not elected, we looking for a leader who has a knight spirit; dare to struggle to win and accept every defeat and admit that the winning party is even willing to support the winning party in the framework of implementing development programs aimed at the interests of people. Not the opposite attitude, whom not accepting defeat, looking for mistakes, issuing threats, spreading terror, or further trying to tackle the winning party.
