Government Optimally Holds World Superbike Prestigious Event

The government is optimal in organizing the prestigious World Superbike event in West Nusa Tenggara. This preparation includes not only infrastructure improvements but also optimization of vaccinations to prevent new clusters of Covid-19.
Indonesia will hold a prestigious event, namely World Superbike in the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) of Mandalika, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). The Minister of Communication and Information, Johny G. Plate, confirmed that Wolr Superbike will spur the recovery of the tourism sector in NTB.
This is certainly proof to the world that Indonesia can hold a prestigious event like MotoGP. Of course, while maintaining the implementation of health protocols properly. Furthermore, he also explained that various infrastructure developments such as circuit locations, ports, airport facilities, terminals, ports, and tourist attractions are ready to receive tourist visits by prioritizing CHSE (Clean, Healthy, Safe and Environmentally Preserved) standards.
Johny said, the circuit infrastructure is also 100% ready and currently focusing on completing the circuit support facilities, such as the pit building, paddock, health facilities and race control building. The construction of supporting facilities is targeted to be completed by the end of October 2021.
Not only physical development, he also mentioned that the government also prioritizes aesthetic elements. Where the performance will provide views of the natural hills and panoramic views of the blue sea which will be an attraction for participants and visitors. A representative international circuit for this international event will encourage Indonesia in the eyes of the world.
The Minister of Communication and Information also emphasized that various strategies in the tourism sector have been and continue to be intensified to prevent the potential for Covid-19 transmission. This was done, among others, by accelerating vaccinations and the formation of the Covid-19 Task Force in each area.
Based on data from the Indonesian Ministry of Health as of October 17, 2021, vaccination coverage in NTB, especially Kab. Central Lombok, which is the host of World Superbike, has reached 66.77 percent for the first dose and 14.71 percent for the second dose. This means that soon the target to reach 70 percent or group immunity can be achieved.
Not only that, the government also provides various trainings for tourism business actors in Mandalika and its surroundings. This certainly shows that the government cares about NTB’s readiness to host this prestigious world-class event. This is also accompanied by escort and curation guidance for creative economy products that can support the implementation of World Superbike.
Not much different was also conveyed by the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of Indonesia, especially the province of NTB. Moreover, the Mandalika area is one of the five super priority destinations in Indonesia.

Meanwhile, the logistics equipment needed for the World Superbike (WSBK) event which will take place on November 19-21 at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit, Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, has arrived at Lombok International Airport.

He said the logistics and WSBK crew were brought using a Boeing 777 cargo plane from Doga and arrived at Lombok International Airport on Tuesday 9 November 2021 at 12.30 WITA.
To support the WSBK performance, he said, a number of facilities at Lombok Airport have been developed, one of which is cargo facilities by building a cargo truck parking lot with a capacity of 40 trucks. In addition, the construction of a special access road for cargo with a length of 1.5 kilometers has been completed and is ready for use.
In terms of security, the Central Lombok Police have placed their members at Lombok Airport to guard and secure the arrival of the WSBK logistics. The police have also simulated the security system for the arrival of tourists or WSBK spectators with joint officers at Lombok Airport.
This important event is proof that Indonesia is able to facilitate prestigious events, especially since the government has optimally prepared everything, from logistics, transportation, to security for the success of the World Superbike event in NTB.
