Indonesian Flagship Sent to Carry Passenger Home to the Village in Sampit Harbor
Choirul Fuadi, Central Kalimantan, CIDISS – The full of passenger home to the village at this year in Sampit Harbor, it make authority of Sampit harbor service face difficulties to fulfill ticket request by passengers. In other hand, the ticket was sold out, bought by passengers.
Sampit harbor is one of access way out of Kalimantan in Central Kalimantan. In such way, mass transport mode is full by passenger in period of home to the village. Despitefully, the ticket’s price is cheaper than ticket of air plane which only take short time.
People who home to the village are someone whose transmigrate to some district in Central Kalimantan. They are from many background, most of them from worker in palm oil plantation. They want gather with their family in Ied fitri and release the miss with family are their big reason to go home in the village.
Government confront the case with add Boat to carry passenger in Sampit Harbor, Central Kalimantan. Government sent Indonesian Flagship KRI TCB-532/Teluk Celukan Bawang. The purpose is to facilitate the passenger who doesn’t have ticket, and then they can go home to the village by KRI Teluk Celukan Bawang.
“The ship will carry passengers to Semarang. 15 July afternoon, it must go to Semarang. The max capacity is 300 passengers and the ship will not carry vehicle,” said chief of board of transportation, communication and informatics Kotawaringin Timur regency, Fadlian Nor, Like quote in Antara Kalteng, Sunday (12/7/2015).
Based on information, The Indonesian Flagship is only operating one times departure on 15 July. But, at least, the ship will carry people who haven’t ticket.
Whereas, H-15, there were 20 schedules of ship departure, the ship serve passenger to Surabaya and Semarang. The ship belongs to Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia Corporation (PT PELNI) and Dharma Lautan Utama Corporation (DLU).
And, there are several ships operate in this route. They are; PT PELNI has 6 ships. The ships are Leuser, Sirimau, Kelimutu, Lawit and Bukit Raya with capacity 1.500 passengers. Meanwhile, PT DLU has operated 2 ships; the ships are Kirana I and Kirana ships with capacity 600 passengers.
If compare to previous year, KSOP Sampit predict, the passenger in Sampit Harbor increase 3,24 %, that is 29.119 passengers become 30.000 passengers. (*)
