The Indonesian people were quite surprised by the meeting between President Jokowi and Prabowo which was full of warmth. The anticipated hope finally materialized.

We all know that since the 2014 and 2019 presidential elections, the two figures seem to be the door to public tension until finally the polarization between the two camps is difficult to avoid, the term cebong and kampret are widely used on social media. Of course the term should not be in our political dictionary.

Even though both of them fought fiercely in winning the people’s votes, Prabowo and Jokowi continued to show good faith to maintain a friendly relationship between the two.

Now that the 2019 Election has passed, the door to islah or reconciliation has been opened, according to KBBI it can mean peace or settlement of disputes. Whereas reconciliation is the act of restoring relationship to the original state or actions to resolve differences.

In the context of social relations, it can avoid facades (moral damage) and anarchy in the midst of the public. Broadly speaking, in this issue, we need political reconciliation and harmonization of social relations. If those two things are achieved, it will undoubtedly disrupt the face of our society as the excesses of electoral constituencies that were very hard in the past, can be immediately restored.

Political reconciliation can be achieved through a peace process and harmonization of relations between conflicting political groups. In this case, both groups must be committed to building mutual trust in the spirit of being ready to collaborate.

If the two figures shake hands and hug each other, of course there will be no more mocking each other. There is no more tyranny and misleading political hoax.

Meanwhile, social reconciliation is carried out through a process of cooling the atmosphere, reducing the intensity of open political feuds and promoting the spirit of cooperation.

If this can be realized properly, then the community will be presented with a harmonious display of relations between political forces and without doubt, and after all the show requires a humble attitude and the greatness of the soul of the perpetrators.

Contestation seems to have to be paid for with not a little dowry, the democratic party has created a horizontal conflict not only for the elite, but also for the grassroots of the grassroots community. Slanderous news appears almost every day. Anti-religious and communist narratives are everywhere.

This certainly is the basis that the reconciliation effort becomes urgent. Solely to defuse political tensions between supporters of the two camps. Not to divide – for power (power sharing) as is common in the political world in Indonesia today.

The narration echoed by Jokowi and Prabowo was enough to make the heat of the political temperature subside. The narrative of Cebong and Kampret should have been thrown away after Prabowo and Jokowi hugged each other like old friends. We are not parties 01 or 02 now, but we are all in the shade of red and white to weave unity that was torn apart.

Although the two had met in order to stabilize the political temperature in Indonesia, this did not make all the people at the grassroots level follow the instructions from Prabowo. Even the Prabowo meeting with Jokowi on the MRT claimed that Prabowo had betrayed him because he met with the president who they thought was the result of fraud.

This condition certainly cannot be left continuously and prolonged. Because if it is allowed then the unity and unity of fellow nationals. Therefore reconciliation is not only among the elite, but also at the grassroots level.

We certainly can start from ourselves, we must remember that building Indonesia is not only the duty of the President, but we can also take part in advancing development in Indonesia, one of which is to get back together with friends or colleagues who were previously different choices so that friendship atmosphere melts.

Political tensions naturally occur before the election, but now the KPU, Bawaslu and the Constitutional Court have also shown their verdict, if we can only protest, then when we participate in building the nation, when we fellow Indonesians want to be angry.
