Choirul Fuadi, Central Kalimantan, CIDISS – Relevance to moratorium sending of Indonesian Migrant Workers to Arab Saudi, The National Agency for Placement and Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (Badan Penempatan dan Perlindungan Tenaga Kerja Indonesia/BP2TKI) central and south Kalimantan (Kalselteng) stopped sending Indonesian Migrant Workers (Tenaga Kerja Indonesia/TKI) central and south Kalimantan (Kalselteng).
The reason of government did moratorium is because many problems of Indonesian Migrant Workers arising because Indonesian Migrant Workers has no enough work knowledge and experience in abroad, then became problem to their boss.
Like quote in Kalteng Pos, chief of BP2TKI Kalselteng, Amin Amanullah said that government is being plumb MoU or new rule to Arab Saudi about rules of Indonesian labor security.
He admitted, 63 thousand of illegal Indonesian Migrant Workers did administration in Indonesian Embassy in Arab Saudi.
“Most of them are worker who has low skill. They have intention to complete administration of labor. But, sending of Indonesian Migrant Workers on Stop status,” said him
This, said him, to prevent illegal worker, so, moratorium was held. Meanwhile, Indonesian Migrant Workers needing in Arab Saudi is high.
According to him, BP2TKI is focus on quality building of Indonesian Migrant Workers. “We focus on build, and inform about legal way how Indonesian Migrant Workers become,” said him.
He said about skill of Indonesian Migrant Workers, start from low skill, medium skill, till high skill, and he admitted, most of them are on the low skill level.
He suggest to Indonesian Workers who want work abroad, using legal way or procedural. Even more complex in administration by BP2TKI, but it is more safety in work as worker in abroad.
