In the four years of Joko Widodo-Jusuf Kalla’s reign, infrastructure development was one of the programs that was intensively implemented.
Maritime Coordinating Minister Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan assessed the benefits of infrastructure development. Although currently the impact is not yet significant.
During a visit to AFP headquarters on Friday last week, he said, now we make it to the future because he thinks this infrastructure will be seen by us again 2 years from now, the fruit will be greatly felt.
He explained, infrastructure development can indeed be felt instantly. But this development must be done, not for the sake of today but for the future.
He explained, infrastructure would not be successful today. If we also don’t think that will come, we just think for ourselves this republic is not going forward. He also responded casually if there were those who considered infrastructure development as a campaign of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). At least he said the results were visible.
He also explained, it could be that the campaign of any person being done is said to be a campaign, but our campaign is concrete, and we have dreams. We dream of infrastructure, first a dream president and now it is.
He continued, one of the infrastructures that had already been felt was the benefit of the Trans Java Toll Road. At present the Trans Java Toll Road is almost complete. That is proof that it is not just a campaign. He added, no one imagined that people could walk from Banten to Banyuwangi on the way, later until 2018-2019.
The Jokowi program builds infrastructure based on Nawacita, well run by the Government. Infrastructure development as capital to increase Indonesia’s economic growth.
