Papua’s Separatist Cunning Strategy Spreads the Issue of Racism Discredited by the Government

Recently we have heard many reports in the mass media related to racism in Papua. The riots, which were suspected by the uncertainty of the truth, turned out to have such a sad effect.
Utilizing the issue of racism as one of the originators of the riots is apparently not commendable. In addition to causing material losses, it is also spiritual. The heartbreaking trauma that is clearly illustrated if the unity of Indonesia does not seem to have materialized as a whole.
Still, there are some elements who deliberately use the situation for other purposes. Moeldoko, as the Chief of Staff of the Indonesian National Army, assessed that racism arising from the OPM lost its influence. As well as the existence of an armed group and political axis that exploits this issue.
The paradox of the relationship between racism and Papua’s development plan is rolling. The government is increasing the development of Papua with the aim that Papuan people can be like other communities. Although, in fact there are good groups in the political axis movement. Nor do groups with armed shaft movements. This causes interference and anxiety that is real in plain sight.
Moeldoko also responded if the issue of racism was brought up as a background to the riots that had taken place in the last few days. He stated the possibility that the two groups did not like the progress of Papua. The implication is that Papua will not have overseas sales value if progress is made on this land.
For example, the Papua region that was built was in fact capable of providing welfare to its people. So that the influence of this armed group will certainly diminish or even disappear.
Likewise with the political axis group, if progress includes Papua, then the political axis group can not move. Namely, this group will fail to sell the issue of marginalized people in Papua.
This indicator has actually been read before. Namely, when the road construction alone was disrupted. Education education infrastructure has also been arrested. There is also now still visible efforts that lead to it. Namely, buildings that should have been protected were actually burned. From this we know that the signs have appeared.
Moeldoko made sure that real concern for the armed groups and political axis did not approve of progress in Papua. He also clarified his opinion if OPM was included in one of these groups. This sign of certainty he pointed out related to the raising of the Morning Star flag during the riots
But he was grateful that most people did not go into the provocation. And the official officials who are considered very wise to deal with this condition. Moeldoko added that the OPM Axis also capitalized the issue of racism so that the riots that they found difficult had the impression of having strong reasons.
The background to the establishment of the OPM has indeed received a lot of criticism from various parties. Whereas before this movement was born from an underground spiritual non-violence. However, it seems that many parties were disappointed due to this organization. Starting from Asotek Demotekay who is the Head of Demta District, Jayapura Regency. He was secretly carrying out the activities of the traditional and Christian mystical belief groups.
Despite demanding independence for the Papua region, Aser is very cooperative with Indonesia. Aser asked Indonesia to surrender independence to Papua according to the Bible’s promise. And the promise of ancestors, and the promise of the land of Papua. Namely that the nation of West Papua is the most recent nation towards the end of time.
The Aser Movement is a Cargo cult, but its movements are highly classified and underground. However, there are indications whether the movement of this cargo cult is the same as that in Papua New Guinea or Micronesia.
Jacob Prai, one of the followers of this movement, is suspected to stand out and continue this movement. But Jacob Prai regretted using a radical method to defend himself to realize his goals.
It is this kind of action that might be able to ignite further indications of violence. Although classified as a defense and self-defense action, this is felt to be dangerous for parties outside the relevant organization.
In relation to the issue of racism that is suspected to break this unity, it should be faced with a cool head. Look deeper and stay aware of various possibilities. It is better as an Indonesian citizen who upholds human values, must be applied in life.
Avoid various organizations that have a negative or group impact and are confidential. Stay calm respond to all the various provoking sticking out. Hopefully the riots caused by racism in Manokawari Papua can be used as lessons. So that in the future we as Indonesian people can be more wise and prudent in dealing with similar things in the future.
