President Jokowi received appreciation from world leaders. This is reflected in the election of Indonesia as the presidency of the G20 Summit and the presence of President Jokowi, who always gets warm welcome in various international forums.
In international relations, Indonesia has always had a special position in the international world. Since the new order era and even the old order era, world leaders have always lifted their hats and respected every president of Indonesia. Currently, when Indonesia is led by President Jokowi, he is also appreciated by other presidents or leaders of countries.
This was proven when President Jokowi attended the G20 Summit at the end of October 2021. President Jokowi was warmly welcomed by the organizer, Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi. He was very happy because President Jokowi wanted to attend the G20 Summit in the midst of the pandemic and they met, like 2 old friends.
In addition, during meetings with leaders of other countries, they were also greeted with joy. Even Queen Maxima of the Netherlands took off her masks to be recognized and they had a warm audience. The response from the leaders of other countries was no less familiar, such as South Korean President Moo Jae In.
President Jokowi’s greatest appreciation was when Indonesia was appointed as the G20 presidency, which means that the 2022 summit will be held in Indonesia. While holding the hammer as a symbol of the presidency, President Jokowi said that he was honored to continue the G20 presidency in 2022.
When Indonesia was appointed as the presidency of the G20 Summit, it was an honor, because it meant that our country was trusted to handle international events. This means that world leaders believe that Indonesia has progressed and is no longer underestimated.
Indeed, there are rumors that think that Indonesia, as a former colony, is still in the lower middle position. however, by attending the G20 summit, President Jokowi proved that Indonesia is an Asian tiger. Our strength is also quite respected by other countries and they understand that currently Indonesia is very advanced.
Especially when you become a member of the G20, it is an honor too, because only countries with strong economies can be a part of it. It means that the leaders of Italy and other countries respect and respect Indonesia, and we are considered much better than the New Order era.
President Jokowi has prepared Bali as the venue for the 2022 G20 Summit. He even visited the place to check the completeness of the facilities and various other preparations. World leaders must be given the best service, and they will enjoy the beauty of the Island of the Gods while having an international audience.
Bali was deliberately chosen as the venue for the G20 summit, because Jakarta was too crowded. Indeed, Jakarta is the capital city of Indonesia, but during the G20 Summit it may be held in another city. Not too sacred, the important thing is that it will be carried out properly.
Meanwhile, Bali is relatively more spacious and there are many tourist attractions, so when this international forum is held, it is all about introducing the exoticism of the Island of the Gods to world leaders who have come all the way from their country. This is also a free advertisement, because they can tell the beauty of Bali to the people, and tourists will attack.
When President Jokowi assumes the leadership of the G20 2022 presidency, this is an appreciation from many leaders of other countries in the world, because they believe in his abilities. Our president is known to be skilled in negotiations as well as good at getting along, thus earning the respect of many people, including presidents and leaders of other countries.
