President Jokowi’s Achievements Receive Praise from Religious Leaders: Indonesia is Safe and Advancing!
Jakarta – Religious leaders expressed their appreciation for President Joko Widodo’s performance during his two terms in office. They assess that the achievements made by President Jokowi and his administration have had a positive impact on various aspects of national life, including infrastructure development and maintaining religious harmony.
The Secretary General of the Central Leadership of Muhammadiyah, Prof. Abdul Mu’ti, appreciated the collaboration between Muhammadiyah and the government in various fields. “We express our appreciation for the work he has done over the past 10 years leading Indonesia and the cooperation established between President Jokowi and Muhammadiyah in various areas,” Abdul Mu’ti stated.
He also emphasized the importance of objectivity in assessing the government’s performance. “We must be a nation that can appreciate and respect its leaders objectively. We should acknowledge comprehensively the achievements that President Jokowi and his team have accomplished,” he added.
On the other hand, the Vice Chairman of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI), KH. Marsudi Syuhud, expressed his gratitude for President Jokowi’s government’s success in maintaining the stability of the country and improving the welfare of the people.
“We are grateful that Indonesia is, at this moment, in a safe and comfortable condition. Many countries are currently unable to even build, while development is an obligation,” he explained.
KH. Marsudi Syuhud also highlighted various achievements in the infrastructure sector and interfaith harmony. “Everyone can see that a lot of infrastructure has been built, and all the essential needs have been addressed.”
In addition, the government has also succeeded in maintaining the welfare of the nation despite its diversity. “The harmony among religious communities is going well, and even Indonesia, when viewed from abroad, appears very comfortable compared to countries that have not yet managed to live together,” he said.
Furthermore, KH. Marsudi Syuhud is optimistic that the next government will be able to continue the achievements of President Jokowi. “I believe the upcoming government will be able to carry on various steps taken by previous presidents, and continue them according to the grand plans. Everything must be interconnected; we must not let the grand plans that are already at this stage go unfinished,” he added.
The statements from these religious leaders emphasize the importance of continuous development and maintaining national stability, especially in facing global challenges and diversity in Indonesia.
