CIDISS. President Jokowi manages to realize political stability during his three and a half years of rule. This is the basic capital of the government in realizing a number of strategic programs contained in Nawacita. The stability of the Jokowi-JK government was relatively well maintained mainly after the Golkar Party and the National Mandate Party (PAN) joined the government. This is because parliamentary support to the Jokowi-JK government reaches 68 percent. Conditions are different from the early days of government that lacked support from the Parliament., Political capital was in line with Jokowi-JK commitment about the national development policy oriented Indonesiasentris. Through that, Jokowi-JK strengthen the foundations and bonds of NKRI.
With the development oriented to Indonesiasentris, Jokowi trying to minimize the gap between Java and some areas outside Java. The evidence is many. Such as infrastructure development to improve inter-regional connectivity. Then with sea toll program, Papua cross road, and other cross-country, including new port or airport. Everything is made to facilitate the public in moving and facilitate the transportation of goods and services.
Jokowi-JK also executes various other flagship programs to strengthen rural communities. Among others are through Smart Card Indonesia, Healthy Indonesia Card, Hope Family Card, Non-Cash Food Assistance, and Free Land Certificate Assistance. It is also augmented by People’s Business Credit, agricultural facilities and infrastructure, and the latest cash-for-work program. This has led to a trend of poverty since the era of President Jokowi has continued to decline. In fact, in 2016 the lowest level of poverty in Indonesia throughout the history of the country, which is in the range of 10.7 percent or 27.8 million people.
In the legal field, the Jokowi-JK government is very consistent in supporting corruption eradication. But the level of corruption is still high, proved Indonesia’s corruption perception index is ranked 96th with a value of 37 from 180 countries. However, the form of its efforts to eradicate corruption can be seen in the absence of presidential intervention in the handling of cases of corruption. Seeing all these achievements, Jokowi still deserves to be seen as a successful president to build Indonesia and Jokowi – JK government is a government that has been able to make Indonesia more advanced.
