The rise of the spread of radical understanding is very absorbing attention. Both the government to the community. Because his presentation has reached various groups, ranging from religious leaders to ASN (State Civil Apparatus). The spread of radicalism among ASNs needs to be prevented immediately because if it develops broadly it can interfere with the running of government. The development of radical understanding in Indonesia looks quite significant. Although it has diminished, but the spread of understanding has increasingly touched all circles. Call it the State Civil Apparatus (ASN). At first glance these employees seem neutral and do not have fanatical views.

However, who knows when several names of ASN employees were sticking out in connection with cases of radicalism. The most severe case is the arrest of a BUMN employee related to the Medan bomb.
ASN and SOE Institutions are suspected to be a land of struggle for radicalism today. The spread of radical ideas is seen as invisible. We know that the intimidation of radicalism is increasingly widespread, but we will not know that understanding is able to drag a person to plunge into it. Namely like this ASN employee. Although considered invisible, this can be recognized from the characteristics that accompany it. One of them is intolerance, this is a form of selfishness that does not want to respect the opinions and beliefs of others. It can also be fanatical, self-righteous, exclusive and assume others are wrong and even tend to use violence to pass their goals.

There have been many reports of citizens regarding ASN employees who have been exposed to radicalism to the BNPT (National Counterterrorism Agency). Although the features of radicalism are easy to find in this environment, the legal process itself is not as simple as expected. So the community expressed their unrest due to the incident. Moreover, ASN employees are like being close to citizens and affordable to the wider community. It is this unrest which is the basis for 12 ministries and institutions to form cooperation to deal with radicalism among ASNs and similar institutions. In addition, a complaint portal was launched to expand radicalism among ASNs. The complaint portal is used to accommodate public complaints about radical ASN.

Now is the time for the state to act decisively against ASN which is exposed to radicalism. The state is prohibited from submitting, even bowing its knees to ASN which is considered to get salary from money sourced from the people. Therefore, the government must ensure that the state ideology and constitution are the only guidelines for ASN and not other ideologies. There are two strategies regulated in the Anti-Terrorism Law signed at that time. Namely, counter-radicalization and deradicalization. Counter-radicalization is an effort to instill Indonesian values and non-violence values. This contradictionalization can be done through formal and non-formal education. It could also be in the form of cooperation with informal leaders regarding the planting of national values.

While Deradicalisation is a planned, integrated, and continuous effort. Which aims to reverse or eliminate the radicalism that is happening. It seems that a special deradicalization program for ASNs is indeed needed. Not denying that currently the government is opening up to 150 thousand more civil servant formation candidates that will be distributed in 68 ministries and institutions, including 462 local governments. So that prevention of the recruitment process needs to be applied. Awareness of the possibility of prospective civil servants exposed to radicalism is not only sufficient through basic competency tests and also field competition. However, if it is indeed needed the government can trace the digital track records of these candidates with regard to radicalism. Because, on its way, digital track records cannot fool the character of someone who is exposed to radical understanding.

It is possible to track the digital footprint of all BUMN and ASN employees as a useful reference material. That way, those who are clearly exposed to radicalism can be immediately charged with laws which can then be rehabilitated so that they can return to the right path. This can be a powerful way to break the chain of radicalism among ASNs and also SOEs.
The government does not need to be afraid, because the community and all citizens fully support all actions that can suppress the spread of radical ideas that can trigger the growth of terrorism. If terrorism slides more like a rocket battle, it will be increasingly difficult to fight. So that from now on the government assertiveness must be applied, so that radicalism and radicalism do not have the guts to touch again.
