The 212 Alumni Brotherhood plans to hold a reunion on December 2, 2019. The event will likely take place at the Monas National Monument, Central Jakarta.
In the posters circulating, the event was titled ‘Munajat for Homeland Safety’. Great Maulid and Alumni Reunion 212. Uniquely at the bottom of the poster is the inscription ‘Insyaallah it will be attended by IB-HRS, The initials of course refer to FPI frontman High Priest Habib Rizieq.
Bakmumin’s novel said that they did hope that Habib Rizieq Shihab, as the PA 212 Independent Trustee, could attend the reunion at Monas. At this moment PA 212 is in the middle of working on the technical implementation of the event.
The 212 Reunion event which was originally intended to put Ahok in prison is certainly not relevant to the current conditions, especially if last year, the atmosphere of the 212 event was very thick with political content to support certain candidates.
Especially at this time the figure they once hailed had joined into a coalition with political opponents for 2 periods. So it is not relevant if PA 212 still wants to hold a reunion at Monas.
Related to the event, the Minister of Religion Fachrul Razi was reluctant to comment until there was clarity regarding the action. He said that he would not want to be wrong in giving a response related to the annual action.
The 212 reunion was initiated by mass organizations such as PA 212, the Islamic Defenders Front of the FPI, the Ulama Fatwa Guard National Movement (GNPF), the FUI Muslim Forum which was involved in Ijtima ’Ulama 4. Where they carried the Sharia NKRI.
The event which is claimed to bring 7 million people seems to be an annual agenda by PA 212. Where on this year’s commemoration, it does not yet have plans to invite Prabowo who now serves as Minister of Defense.
But if indeed Prabowo is not included in the ‘list’. This is of course natural, especially now that Prabowo has received a mandate from the central government as defense minister.
Even without Prabowo. The masses will still come to flood the monas area, after that they will certainly criticize the government under Jokowi, where they think Jokowi is their political opponent for the next 5 years,
This program seemed to lose its spirit. Where Prabowo no longer participates in it, it certainly becomes a political fact that must be accepted. Not to mention Mr. Amien Rais who has already ‘given permission’ to Prabowo to get a belief in Jokow Widodo’s circle.
Therefore, aside from Prabowo who was not included in the invitation, Amien Rais is almost certain to be absent from Reunion 212, because of his reluctance to Prabowo Subianto.
PA Presidium Chairperson 212 Slamet Maarif stated that his party had refused the inauguration of President Jokowi and Vice President Ma’ruf Amin. The rejection was based on the decision or result of Ijtima ‘ulema IV.
It is clear that PA 212 does not recognize the mechanism that has been championed by the Constitutional Court, so they are also included in those who do not agree with the reconciliation procession.
PA 212 is also a well-known mass organization that often puts forward its political ideology, of course we can look in the mirror from previous experience, when Prabowo and Sandiaga uno asked for no demonstrations.
So it can be concluded that Reunni 212 is a mass action that can lead opinions to reject legitimate government.
As religious people, of course we must have wisdom so that religious messages conveyed are not actually used as tools for their pragmatic political interests.
Using religion as a practical political tool will certainly threaten the unity of diverse religious communities in Indonesia. And it certainly violates the essence of religion that unites and humanizes humans.
Especially during the PA 212 Election as if blind to regulation. Where the event that they have been echoing so far is full of political content that tends to be destructive. Noted when PA 212 wanted to hold a grand tabligh in Solo they actually said Change President first.
Reunion 212, of course, is still questionable about its relevance, especially when the figure that they once hailed has now joined the Jokowi cabinet, meaning that in political matters it is not necessary to be too fanatical.
