The end of the year is marked by the Nataru holiday (Christmas and New Year). However, it is feared that a new Corona cluster will form, because there is mass mobility. The public is advised to reduce mobility during the Nataru holiday to avoid the danger of Corona.

The end of the year should be a happy time because usually there are holidays, so you can go home or travel. However, people are now aware of themselves because it is still a pandemic period, so many are putting the brakes on their desire to travel, for fear of contracting Corona. The pandemic made Nataru’s atmosphere quiet and solemn because mobility was completely reduced and the holiday was celebrated with the nuclear family gathering at home.

Spokesperson for the Ministry of Health’s vaccination, Dr. Siti Nadia Tarmizi, stated that she was continuing to try to keep the number of Corona cases as low as possible. However, these efforts will be effective if there is good cooperation with the community. This effort will be effective if the community is obedient and disciplined in implementing health protocols and reducing mobility during Nataru’s holiday, and has been vaccinated.

In a sense, to overcome the pandemic, especially at the time of Nataru, there must be collaboration between the government and the community. Don’t just read the rules but don’t implement them, because it will be useless. There must be good cooperation between 2 parties, because during the pandemic we must work hand in hand, compact, and also disciplined.

For example, when it has been confirmed that it is forbidden to move when Nataru is violated, then he is desperate to go home or travel abroad, it will automatically increase Corona cases. The government is confused because there are rules when Nataru and all residents are prohibited from traveling, but instead run away secretly, claiming that there is no partition and ‘only’ there are rules for odd-even vehicle registration numbers.

When there is an increase in Corona cases due to people’s indiscipline during Nataru, it can increase the PPKM level, can be level 4 and return to red zone status. The government is dizzy because the number of patients is rising so the pandemic doesn’t know when it will end. Even though the worst effect of the pandemic is the decline in the economy, and we certainly don’t want the status of a recession or a monetary crisis.

Therefore, the community must be disciplined in implementing health protocols and must not move far during Nataru. Even if it is in an urgent situation, it is better to stay at home. Instead of getting infected with Corona on the way, it gets even worse. Moreover, the biggest risk is loss of life, and even more worrying if he has not been vaccinated.

Likewise with a picnic in the city. Even if the reason is pleasing to the child, don’t force yourself. They are afraid that they will catch Corona while walking in parks or zoos, because there is a density of visitors and mass mobility.

Understand that the pandemic is a time of concern and there is no need to party with Nataru. Moreover, holding a New Year’s party, whether indoor or outdoor, which begins with a convoy around the city. So don’t be angry when you are picked up by the apparatus and the COVID-19 task force team, because it has been proven that you have violated health protocols and rules during Nataru.

Celebrating the holidays is okay but preferably together with the nuclear family, while for large families it can be with a meeting via zoom. In fact, the atmosphere will be more solemn, when you can meet the nuclear family in silence, then eat after worship and continue by exchanging gifts.

Mobility when Nataru must be reduced and obey the rules, do not even dare to violate and then cat and mouse with the officers on the street. Understand that this rule is not to be broken, but must be obeyed so that everyone does not get Corona. Just be patient for a moment because if everyone is disciplined and obeys health protocols, the pandemic will end soon.
