Getolnya FPI and co-kaw ‘s it highlights the Commission considered a number of parties misplaced. The reason, CSOs who often do demonstrations related to religion have never once touched on this. The public was suspicious that the 212 Action was full of certain political interests, moreover the action only used the momentum of 21 February 2020.

Crowded news of the reunion 212 will be held at the KPK. This was sticking out after the Islamic organization highlighted corruption cases. Whereas before, they were considered ignorant when people were busy discussing the KPK. Therefore some parties find it strange. This mass organization, which is run by FPI, looks like it wants to be smart. Chances are, before the 2020 elections they want to find their own stage, maybe.

As ever, they are always looking for candidates to carry, and the implication is to get a government seat. Not 212 if unable to suck up public attention. The popular organization when whitening the city of Jakarta often makes a breakthrough in the steps they take.

This oddity was also expressed by Muhammad Isnur, as Chair of the Advocacy Division of the Indonesian Legal Aid Foundation (YLBHI). The institution which is keen to voice the eradication of corruption also claimed to be amazed at the planned demonstration.

Isnur said this because according to him, the organization that demanded the conviction of the former Governor of DKI Jakarta Basuki Tjahaja Purnama because the blasphemy case was judged to have never responded when the interfaith commission was experiencing a crisis through the revision of the KPK Law and the selection of problematic commissioners.

Isnur stated that if so the public was reasonable to suspect that this demonstration was only a political maneuver. Considering that previously they were indifferent to the issue of corruption.

Previously, the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI), the Ulama Fatwa Guard National Movement (GNPF), along with the Alumni Brotherhood (PA) 212, were rumored to be holding actions demanding the eradication of corruption on 21 February 2020. The action is planned to be centered in front of the MPR / DPR Building, Jakarta.

FPI General Secretary Munarman said that law enforcement officials, such as the National Police, the Attorney General’s Office, to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), have not shown a serious attitude in completing corruption cases that are alleged to have harmed the country to trillions of rupiahs. The action was given the name, Appeal Anti-Corruption February 21 as well as an invitation to catch the corruptors.

Munarman said a number of cases of alleged corruption that needed to be thoroughly investigated were allegations of bribery to former KPU commissioner Wahyu Setiawan which involved a former PDI-P candidate Harun Masiku. The second is the alleged corruption of condensate sales by PT Trans Pacific Petrochemical Indotama (TPPI) which has ensnared Honggo Wendratno and has cost the country a nominal Rp36 trillion. Then the alleged corruption case at PT Asuransi Jiwasraya which was estimated to provide losses of up to Rp13.7 trillion along with the alleged corruption at PT Armed Forces Social Insurance (Asabri) which was estimated to provide losses of up to Rp10 trillion.

He said FPI called on all elements of the Indonesian people to continue to fight against a regime that had caused misery to the people.

Meanwhile, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) responded to the plan of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) which will hold a demonstration related to the alleged corruption of ex PDI Perjuangan (PDIP) candidates, Harun Masiku, on 21 February 2020.

KPK’s Act Enforcement Spokesperson, Ali Fikri, said that his party was very serious in its efforts to handle the Harun Masiku case . He believes investigators work according to legal mechanisms, and not at the request of certain parties.

He added that investigators were completing the case files of the suspects in the case. For Harun Masiku, who is still at large, he claims the KPK will continue to search. Ali also said that the KPK was open to every public report related to the existence of Harun.

Regardless of what the purpose of this 212 Reunion is, how to find his attention is considered too much. When the other party was busy stripping down the KPK, they were still in the cave and did not appear to be responding. Then why are they vocal now voicing it, let alone intending to attack the DPR / MPR building everything. But it is true that the investigation into corruption is not a mere request, but it is an obligation of the state apparatus. So, FPI and friends certainly don’t need to shout out loud their attention. Especially if this action is only one of their political maneuvers. Although, the state is welcome for this action plan, it is also necessary to know what their mode is.
