No one will deny that the love of a mother is greater than the world. The love of a mother will never stop until she dies. This applies to the Mother of Vice President Candidate (Cawapres) serial number 02, Mien Uno. As is known, all the contestants who plunged into the political arena of the 2019 presidential election often got hoaxes or slander attacks which aimed to bring down their image and credibility. Sandiaga Uno did not escape this, where the label “Sandiwara Uno” appeared attached to him.
Recently there have been a lot of rumors about the ” Sandiwara Uno” on social media about alleged plays in Sandiaga Uno’s vice presidential campaign in a number of places. The conversation became crowded on social media with the hashtag #SandiwaraUno. One of the alleged highlighted plays was when a mother cried chasing Sandiaga Uno’s car while campaigning in Sumedang, West Java. The mother’s action was caught on camera and circulated on social media. Warganet suspected that the action was a play because after being traced there was a suspicion that the mother was a candidate from PAN. In another search, Warganet found a photo of the mother standing not far from Sandiaga Uno. Viral Sandiwara Uno did not only refer to the incident of the mother.
Warganet also discussed another “Sandiwara Uno”, when Sandi campaigned in Makassar recently. In the campaign Sandi met with flood victims. Photos circulating, the flood victims met Sandi in a state of muddy chest. However, on his back there was no mud like it was seen full on the front of his body. From the photo, Warganet also suspected that Sandiaga was performing a play.
In response, Mien Uno felt hurt by the term “Sandiwara Uno” and challenged the accuser to apologize. Mien claimed to be angry and offended after many scattered hashtags and even videos and photos accompanied by descriptions of Uno’s plays on social media. The 78-year-old woman wants to deal directly with people who have spread the label “Sandiwara Uno” to her son. Mien revealed, during this time he had raised his son quite well. As a result, he did not accept his son as a liar until the label was labeled Uno by the public.
The response came from Jokowi’s camp. Jokowi-Ma’ruf Amin’s National Campaign Team (TKN) suggested not to involve parents in politics. Spokesman for Jokowi-Ma’ruf TKN, Ace Hasan Syadzily, appealed to respect Mrs. Mien Uno and other Indonesian mothers who have educated and raised national political leaders. They are very extraordinary mothers of the nation. “But, my suggestion for political affairs, politicians should not involve at least a mother or parent to protect us. Poor man. It should be enough with blessing and prayer. As politicians, we must be prepared to face various attacks and accusations,” said Ace.
Ace then gave an example of Jokowi’s incumbent presidential candidate. He said that so far Jokowi had never involved his mother and family even though he was often reviled, insulted, and attacked by slander, even since the 2014 presidential election. Although he was said to be a descendant of PKI, Chinese, and others, but Mrs. Noto, Mrs. Jokowi, remain steadfast and always pray for their children to be strong against the blast of slander. The Golkar politician also said that politics must be based on moral values, ethics, and honesty. Thus, even the accusations of acting will not be pinned.
Meanwhile, Deputy Chairperson of the Jokowi-Ma’ruf TKN, Abdul Kadir Karding, considered that Mien Uno’s attitude was natural and humane. However, according to him, it was also necessary to inform Mien Uno that the play performed by his son was real and demonstrable.
Family members shouldn’t be involved in political battles. Actually the criticism of Sandiaga Uno is still reasonable when compared to slander and hoaxes that attack Jokowi’s mother who is accused of not being a real mother. Mrs. Noto was asked to take a DNA test, was associated with the Indonesian Communist Party (PKI), and was doubtfully Islamic by Prabowo and Sandiaga supporters. If you see it as a fellow woman, Mother Sandi should be more angry about this. But that’s politics. Only powerful fighters are able to pass it. No need to involve parents in it.
