The Sinovac vaccine that has landed in Indonesia is proven safe and is halal by the MUI. People do not need to hesitate when they are going to be injected. Because the government and the kiai in MUI have guaranteed it. The Sinovac vaccine is made from an attenuated virus, and does not contain pork gelatin, so it is declared 100% halal.
The national vaccination program will become a concern of the government in 2021. It is planned that in the next 12 months, vaccines will be distributed gradually throughout Indonesia, from Sumatra to Papua. After that all Indonesian citizens will be injected, and each person will get 2 injections. The goal is to be immune from the covid-19 virus attack and form herd immunity.
Unfortunately this program could fail if the public did not believe in the efficacy of vaccines. The government assured them that this vaccine is 100% safe, by broadcasting the vaccine injection to President Jokowi live. After being injected with the Sinovac vaccine, the President is in good health and no side effects have occurred on his body.
The head of Komnas KIPI, Hindra Irawan Satari, stated that if a patient has health problems after being vaccinated, the government will bear the medical and treatment costs. In accordance with the Minister of Health Regulation number 12 of 2017. Guarantee from the government makes the public more confident and daring to be vaccinated.
The public believes in its safety and efficacy, because the efficacy of the Sinovac vaccine is above 90%. Let us not think negatively about the corona vaccine. Because previously people were used to being injected with other vaccines such as hepatitis, rubella, etc. So just think of injecting this vaccine like normal immunization, the difference is that it is done during a pandemic, so it must comply with health protocols.
Apart from being safe and efficacious, the corona vaccine made by Sinovac is also halal MUI. Secretary of the MUI Fatwa Commission Asrorun Ni’am stated that after a long discussion of the auditor’s explanation, the fatwa commission agreed that the corona vaccine was holy and halal. So that this halal fatwa is a relief for Muslims in Indonesia and they want to be vaccinated.
Asrorun added, the auditors are also monitoring since the vaccine is still in the manufacturing stage in a laboratory in Beijing, China. The surveillance process was continued when the Sinovac vaccine landed, then it was stored at PT Bio Farma, Bandung. In that sense, the auditors really supervise from the initial phase to storage in Indonesia, so it is completely safe and halal.
Meanwhile, MUI Chairman M Cholil Nafis explained that the Sinovac vaccine is halal because it does not contain pork and human organs. In this sense, so far there are people who doubt the halalness of a vaccine, because there is a vaccine made from pork gelatin. However, in the manufacture of the corona vaccine, it is proven that it does not contain these substances.
People do not have to doubt about the safety and halal vaccines. Because its security has been guaranteed by the government and its halalness is guaranteed by the MUI kiai. Do not believe that hoaxes that this vaccine is not halal because it is made in the laboratory of the PRC, which is not a Muslim country. But trust the auditors from MUI who oversee the manufacture of this vaccine from the start, so they are sure that it is truly halal.
Before starting the national vaccination, remember that there are volunteers in West Java who are also injected with the Sinovac vaccine, including Ridwan Kamil. The West Java governor proved to be in good health and when he was regularly tested for swabs, the results were always negative. This proves the efficacy of the corona vaccine made by Sinovac.
The Sinovac vaccine is proven to be 100% halal and confirmed by the MUI fatwa. Also very safe because it does not cause severe side effects. If the arm feels a little sore after the injection, it is very normal. But after that we can do our activities as usual, and always remember to comply with health protocols.
