President Jokowi became the first Indonesian citizen to be injected with the corona vaccine. After the injection, he didn’t have any reaction. This proves that the vaccine made by Sinovac is safe and does not cause side effects. In addition, the vaccine has also received the MUI halala certificate. So that there is no longer any doubt in the national corona vaccination.
The Chinese-made Sinovac vaccine landed in Indonesia in mid-December 2020. However, it will only be injected in January, because it is waiting for BPOM testing and MUI halal fatwa. After everything is finished, it can only be injected into all Indonesian citizens, although we still have to wait our turn. Because the first wave of vaccination was prioritized for medical personnel.
President Jokowi became the first person to be injected with the corona vaccine. On January 13, 2021 at 10 am, he was injected before the people. According to the president, this is not because of ego or position. Instead, he gave an example to the public that the corona vaccine made by Sinovac was 100% safe.
Vaccinations for President Jokowi are broadcast live via streaming on the Youtube account of the presidential secretariat. This broadcast is intended to make all Indonesian citizens see the hygienic and safe vaccination process. So that they are sure and want to be injected. The proof is, after being vaccinated, the president did not show a negative reaction and was in good health.
When the president does not pass out or become seriously ill after being vaccinated, it will increase public confidence and they will want to be injected. So far, there have been doubts and have even been consumed by hoaxes, that the corona vaccine is less safe, because it can change human DNA. However, this fake news was immediately brushed aside when the public saw the safety of vaccinations at the presidential palace.
The MUI has also issued a halal fatwa on the Sinovac vaccine, after conducting the fatwa hearing. So that the majority of Indonesian citizens who are Muslim can breathe easy, because this vaccine is completely halal. MUI also supervises when the vaccine is still in the manufacturing process. So they are sure that there is no pork gelatin mixed in the Sinovac vaccine.
To further convince the public, after President Jokowi was injected, several religious leaders were also injected with the vaccine. They set an example for their congregation, so that no one is afraid or doubts about the corona vaccination anymore. So that all Indonesian citizens will want to be injected and will make the national corona vaccination program a success.
According to doctor Wiku Adisasmito, vaccination is the key to overcoming the spread of corona. The success of the national corona vaccination is very important because if all of them have been injected, herd immunity will be formed. If everyone is healthy and free of corona, then the pandemic will end quickly and we can do our activities as usual.
As good citizens, before waiting for the vaccinations, we can support the success of this program with campaigns on social media. Currently, there are many twibbons, aka a kind of frame, that adorns photos of social media users, which read support for vaccines. Our social media profile photos can be edited like that, so that more followers will follow them.
In addition, a pro-vaccine campaign can also be carried out by stepping aside hoax news and reporting on social media accounts that like to share fake news about the corona vaccine. Just report it to Instagram in a group, and the account can be taken down, so it doesn’t work anymore. Corona vaccine hoax makers are the cruelest group because they spread slander.
The success of the corona vaccination on President Jokowi has made the public increasingly believe in the efficacy of his injections. All Indonesian citizens who watch the injection live broadcast, or who only read the news, will want to be vaccinated. So that in Indonesia herd immunity is formed and the corona pandemic will end soon.
